We had our wedding here yesterday and I can not say in words how incredible Carly,Phil,Susan,Lorna and the rest of the team were. Incredible food, outstanding hospitality and they felt like family with our friends and family. All of our guests were blown away but the venue set up and food expertly cooked for 50 of us. Carly’s wedding planning and organisation is world class and we had no stress from the start of the process to the event itself. I can not recommend this pub/restaurant highly enough

Going down hill

I’ve stayed here a number of times over the past 8 years and since the new management took over it been going downhill. It has never been a top hotel, but a cheap stop over with a bed, hot shower and WiFi(sometimes). My biggest criticisms are that the price changes on every visit ! You now have to pay in advance by at least a day. I booked for 2 nights and they didn’t take a deposit because they know me. But on the 2nd day the cancelled my room pass card and would activate it until I had paid. So when I told them my money was in the room somebody escorted me to my room to let me in so I could get the money. I asked to see see the manager before I paid. However she didn’t come and I had to stay in my room until I checked out the next day because I had no way of getting back in. There are plenty of hotels around, and with better restaurants, (don’t let me get started on that one) needless to say the Chinese food I had there ended up in the dog !! So I think it’s time to find a new place to stay

An out and out average hotel at an Average Price in Accra. The Good Part : Reasonably good rooms, neat and clean, food options, friendly staff, spacious. The Bad part : Internet facility was Pathetic, Laundy service poor, tiny TV with no options. The best Part : Not many, Close to Veda- an Indian restaurant. Stay only if you need to be around Spintex Road. Else look for better options.

My colleague and I stayed 3 nights here in early August 2014. I expected to see improvements in decor, breakfast etc but nothing has changed since my first visit in 2011. The internet access was terrible and made work quite frustrating. They used to have a computer at the reception for use by guests, but that has been removed. They were at the airport for our pick up but we had to make our arrangement for a drop off because the drivers were not resuming early enough ( 6am). I will check other options for my next visit.

Stayed one night in November 23rd, $95 for a standard room with AC. Pros: - friendly and helpful staff at front desk - spacious, clean room (no mosquitos!) - bathroom with hot shower - right beside La Galette cafe which serves nice coffee and pastries Cons: - very limited breakfast options - quite run-down looking in terms of decor - noisy cleaners outside my door woke me up in the morning :) - slow wi-fi - uncompetitive FX rate if you pay in cash with Ghana cedis - location on Spintex Road means there is prettymuch always a traffic jam outside, takes a long time to get anywhere unless it's late at night or very early morning - lack of plug sockets in the room for charging phone, laptop etc. Unlikely to stay here again, I'm sure there are other better quality hotels in more convenient locations for around the same price
