Quiet camping with very friendly staff

We stayed here in a Powell lodge for 2 nights. The lodges are spacious and the staff is very friendly. We arrived in the late afternoon and although the swimming was closed at 7pm, we could take a swim with our 5 year old son for about 15 minutes. The lodges do not have airconditioning, so be aware that it can be hot in summer. We used the showers in the sanitary block to keep our lodge cool. The sanitary is very clean and the temperature of the water is very good to control during showering. The swimming pool as well is clean and neat. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday, so we didn't eat there but at the pool you can have an ice cream if you want. To the city centre of Albi you can go for a 20minutes walk or take the car (the staff informs you what the best free parking places are in the city center).
Very nice campsite

I stayed in a Zion with a friend for two nights whilst visiting a music festival in the town and found it very convenient for walking to the town centre and they also provided a shuttle service if it were needed. Our accommodation was good and clean and very satisfactory the staff were very helpful and friendly. The price was expensive for two nights because of the festival but was better than travelling 15 km from the nearest available hotel. I would certainly consider it if I return to Albi.
Expensive campsite with officious management

This was the most expensive campsite I stayed at in France. 40 euros between two gets you a tiny, hard, uncomfortable emplacement. But the worst part was that if you don't have the right kind of swimming trunks (speedos only) you are told by the officious manager to get out of the pool. Never have I encountered this attitude anywhere else in France. Other campsites couldn't care less about this. But I guess some people have nothing better to do than to enforce absurd and petty rules on people for the sheer hell of it.

We had a good overnight stop here. Particularly enjoyed the on site restaurant with a delicious three course meal very reasonably priced. Shower cubicles were large and very clean and some included hand basins. Loos immaculate and had loo roll. Water did tend to run hot and cold but was a minor irritation in an otherwise very pleasant experience. Our bread delivery was brought to us and we were made to feel very welcome by all the people on site. There is a lovely walk through countryside from the campsite into Albi bringing you out by the Cathedral Took us about 40 minutes each way.
A random find with unexpected extras

My wife and I stayed at the Albirondack Camping for one night. It is American themed and it was a nice place to stay. They only unfortunately we found that there were mosquitos on the campsite. But we found a pharmacy to get repellent. The staff are friendly and helpful and we had no problems.
