Comfortable room and great location for Old Town.

We have stayed here several times, most recently in April. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but have limited housekeeping during pandemic. Room had microwave and refrigerator, plus access to a good ice machine. Staying here, we can park for free and easily walk a couple blocks to Old Town, avoiding parking fees. Staff are inconsistent: woman who checked us in was really pleasant and helpful; other staff, providing the limited breakfast, were slow and not so helpful. Despite that, this is our go-to place when traveling through Albuquerque, and have a short stay booked for May.

incredibly clean hardwood floors, very kind staff, perfect location for old town

First, I love hardwood floors in a motel! No carpeting! True, the outdoor areas were run down. I thought the inside of the room was perfectly adequate and pleasant considering the price! Second, room was extremely clean, and consider the ridiculously low price! Outside, it's a bit dusty and there were some fallen leaves, etc. But who cares, inside the room is what matters. Third, night desk person was very nice and told me I had to hurry to eat in old town because it closes early, at 9 pm (important for a New Yorker to know this)! Fourth, old town is like a 3 minute walk away, so you get the benefits without the high price! Fifth, ample parking though we arrived late (you know how some motels run out of spots?). Sixth: extreme kindness. I left a bag in the room by accident. The hotel shipped it to me in NYC for a nominal fee. They answered my emails and calls. What great service! I am definitely staying here again when I am in ABQ. You can't get more for this price!

The location is fantastic, just a few minutes drive from Old Downtown. There is a McDonald's and a gas station a few steps away from the hotel. I was surprised by how good the coffee was at breakfast, far better than the one I had downtown!The staff are pleasant and gave me the room I had requested. I was also given a personalized bar of Hershey's chocolate! Little things like that make a stay go from good to really pleasant.

Dirty room, no housekeeping, unhelpful oowners

Four friends stayed here for four nights because of the proximity of Old Town. The room was basic, but that was expected from an Econolodge. We did request housekeeping all four days, since there was no place to hang up towels to dry (hooks broken off back of door, shower rod coming off wall) We NEVER received housekeeping services--not one time! The floor was dirty, so the towels that dropped there got dirty. We did start bringing our old towels to the office when requesting new ones. The tub/shower was very mildewed and the corners had built-up dirt. Housekeeping even one time would have been nice. We were made to feel like an imposition by the owners.

This is a great location, but there is NO service. We stayed for four days and no one ever came to empty the trash or bring towels. We had to ask for towels, toilet paper, and garbage bags. Then they charged $20 for dirty towels. Don’t stay here unless you have no other option!
