Get away vacation from Florida

Nice place. Average room. Heating and cooling syste. Was temperamental and wouldn't hold my settings. Very attractive commons area and very accommodating staff. Little pricy but no major complaints. Probably would try another location next visit. Hut a solid 4 star.

Very attractive property, very helpful staff

We stayed just one night at this hotel—we had no opportunity to try the restaurant or look around the grounds. Both the person at the front desk and the car attendant at check in were very helpful and friendly. We found the hotel and our room to be very attractive and comfortable, and we would be happy to go back.

Clean, Quiet, with Caring Service

If you desire a unique and beautiful lodging while in Albuquerque, then Chaco Hotel is worth your consideration. After reading Trip Advisor reviews, my wife and I chose Chaco Hotel while attending a Tango Festival. The room we had was on the 3rd floor; it was clean and quiet. During our stay, we had one minor service issue, which was immediately made right by the on- duty Manager, Sarah, and a very caring and capable receptionist, Shanice. Based on the quality lodging amenities and customer service commitmen my wife and I experienced, we would indeed come back and stay at Chaco Hotel when in Albuquerque.

Comfortable Accommodations, Good Location

Hotel Chaco had been closed for over a year because of the pandemic and reopened not too long ago with new unseasoned staff and management, I was told. The architecture is contemporary southwestern and the public spaces, restaurant and rooms are attractive. Traveling with a friend, we did have an issue with the room upon Check-in, but it was soon resolved more than to our satisfaction. Our room was spacious, attractive and comfortably furnished, with a balcony facing the lovely grounds and pool, and more than enough electrical outlets. I truly don’t understand previous reviews complaining about the lighting situation in the room. There is a under counter nightlight in the bathroom, but it is on a sensor and conveniently goes off when you get into bed and on again if you get up in darkness at night. Perfect! The bedroom nightlight at the headboard were easily turned off by a switch. The hotel restaurant was not open during the time we checked in, but there was coffee in the lobby. Their Level 5 rooftop restaurant is open for dinner and is excellent. The hotel faces the Sawmill Market, a complex of food courts and merchandise, so we merely walked across the street to get a delicious lunch. The hotel is located a few blocks from Old Town. The young staff was helpful and accommodating. I feel that when everything settles in, I would up my rating to 5. Would definitely return.

The location is good and the lobby is pretty but that's where it stops. There is no concern for hospitality or guest service at this property. We arrived at 300, hungry from a road trip and there was nothing to eat at the hotel. They will sell you alcohol but not even one chip or peanut to go with it. The rooftop doesn't open until 400 and is closed on Monday. There is no place in the hotel for breakfast and there is no mini bar with snacks in the room. Given that there is no breakfast room it would be appropriate to have coffee in the lobby each morning. It is hotels like this that drive people to stay in an Air B n B which are a fraction of the cost. I always stay at hotels for the service and amenities but both were lacking here. I agree with the other review on the weird night lights in the bathroom. We booked a suite because the photo online showed a nice balcony but instead we got a little, dark, unappealing space almost entirely enclosed by cinderblock. If booking a suite be sure to specify that you want one with a glass walled balcony. While the NM state requires masks many of the staff wear then beneath their noses. After the valet pulled up with his mask beneath his nose and the windows closed in our car we started parking our own car. When I tried to checkout there was no one at the desk for a full 10 minutes. He finally came in carrying a muffin and coffee from the place across the street. Then he gave me a bill which showed a 30 dollar amenity fee each day. I complained as there were no amenities and he removed it. Our daily rate was as much as many gorgeous properties where the management understands customer service. In all a very disappointing stay.
