Clean and very good location, you can go walking even to the beach!
This is a perfect hotel to stay for a weekend. Second time here and I am really surprised with renovated reception and breakfast zone, so pretty and elegant. This last time I have a room with a view to the castle.
Good location -you get what you pay for!
We stayed here for the weekend during a recent city break. It is true that you get what you pay for and this is the case for Hotel Leuka. The reception and welcome was good. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds. The bathroom is a bath come shower arrangement with good water pressure and temperature the water was hot. The location is in a side street away from the main roads and only a short walk (3 minutes) from a C6 bus stop for transfer to and from the airport. The hotel is quite noisy as having hard (stone) floors with any footsteps or moving furniture can be heard. The walls between rooms are quite thin and people talking can be quite easily heard. Breakfast is plentiful though the scrambled egg and bacon were'luke warm'. There is a bar next door which we sat in for a couple of evenings. The drinks were really inexpensive. We enjoyed walking around the town and to the harbour with a day trip to Benidorm on the train. There's quite a lot to see in a weekend in Alicante and certainly worth a visit.
Traditional
This is an affordable hotel in a good location . The rooms are very clean. The breakfast is very good .yes it's dated but you know this before you book,so is not a negative It has everything you need in the room . +(Apart from kettle and beverages ). I would point out you can ask for a kettle,we did . The rooms are cleaned everyday . At breakfast we noticed when it was busy the tables were not cleared and people were having to move things themselves to sit down. Maybe you could get a tray stacker (shelf like thing) and people could leave there finished things on there so the tables are clear .. Beds are a bit hard. But that's an individual issue .. I would recommend this hotel and I would come back . The staff in reception are very helpful and friendly .
Crazy air con
This is an old tired hotel, very old lifts . However room was clean, beds surprisingly comfortable . We had a balcony over looking back yards not particularly attractive. We only paid €35 a night and it was very central for the city. The air conditioning is still a mystery. We never saw a switch or control, it was super efficient but the only way to switch it off was to open the balcony door. To put it on close door. We tried this many times to check so eventually left door a few centimetres open We would stay again for one night as it as so cheap
Not impressed.
The room was a good size and clean,,Bit noisy from the street. The staff were off hand and unfriendly, in the cafeteria and in the reception desk. The hot breakfast consisted of lukewarm streaky bacon and scrambled egg, every day for 7 days, and the alternative cold choice was sliced processed cheese and processed ham.
