We have just enjoyed a two night stay here in order to attend a family birthday party. The proprietors were very friendly and helpful. The room was beautifully refurbished as was the en suite bathroom. Extremely clean and comfortable. All of the food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the Vegetarian breakfast. The Party Buffet was very tasty and plentiful too. too. All in all a most enjoyable break

New year stay in Alston

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Alston House to see in the new year. Mike and Carol are very accomodating. Downstairs has a lovely atmosphere with an open fire and home cooked food in the restaurant that catered for vegetarians too. Our room was quiet and cosy with a modern en suite bathroom and views of the surrounding moors. It was such a lovely first visit to Alston and we look forward to going back!

10/10 stay at Alston House!

My girlfriend and I had a lovely two night stay at Alston House over New Year with friends. Carole and Mike are brilliants hosts and the home cooked food is amazing! Our room was cozy with a king sized bed and en suite. We walked out from Alston House straight onto the moor to take in the beautiful scenery in the area. I cannot recommend staying here enough. Thank you!

We had 3 night break in Alston and went here twice for dinner as it was so good. Friendly staff, open fire and dogs welcome. Fillet steak and steak pie were exceptional. A lovely traditional family run hotel.

First time visit for work Xmas meal. Decor great, staff lovely. Food was delicious and served with ease seeing as though there were over 40 of us dining. I will return again throughout the year. Dog friendly. Parking facilities. Warm and friendly atmosphere.
