CAREFULL !! FRAUD !! FRAUD !! FRAUD !!
I booked 2 nights in the 5 and 6th of May in this hotel through hotel.com, paying more to have the advantage to cancel my room until the previous week. They were not supposed to debit my account before my arrival but they did it anyway! When I ask to cancel my room via hotem.com, ( you know, Covid time...) the site said everything was fine, because I was suppose to pay the day of my arrival, and no money had to be refund !!!! I couldn't believe it, and tried to get my money since. IT'S BEEN 4 MONTHS, AND I STILL HAVEN'T BEEN REPAID!!! They're not responding my mail of phone call, and hotel.com made me wait months without doing anything except apologise, saying they couldn't do anything!!
Wedding Anniversary in Amalfi
We began our anniversary celebrations at La Ninfa and it was truly a memorable experience. Gorgeous hotel, helpful staff and delicious food! It is situated at the top of a cliff with a beautiful view of the beach and only a few minutes walk down to the beach. If your trip brings you to La Ninfa Amalfi then request for room 5 as it has an attached private balcony.
Excellent sea side view in beautiful town of Amalfi
Excellent sea side view hotel. Some of the rooms also have sea side view. Breakfast was good. Its about 2 km walk from the bus station for Salerno. Rooms are decent enough. The hotel is more of a home converted one, but still good.
Booking experience - beware
This review is not about stay, but about booking experience. I booked this hotel for a stay in July next year through booking.com. Got a call from management advising that they block the card for 2 nights, no payment taken and I said that was fine. To my huge surprise in 2 days time I found that instead of being blocked my card was fully charged with that amount. I cancelled the trip due to finding a different hotel and am still trying to get my money back... Send few emails to the property - no response, Called booking.com customer service, which contacted property and was told that they don't know whether the card was charged as they have "too many bookings to remember" - seriously??? Card charged 29/11. Booking cancelled 1/12. Today is 6/12 and I have neither response nor refund. Least I expect when dealing with booking hotel!! Shame, La Ninfa. I am rasing a case with my bank today.
Decent hotel, a little far from everything
Firstly, do not go by the photos shown for room category, MMT showed us balcony and bathtub in the base category because of which we made the booking. Later, upon reaching we found out that our room did not even have windows, and that was the worst part because the hotel had amazing view. Maurice, who I assume was the hotel manager was audacious, more interesting in flirting with young ladies, obviously the rooms are not soundproof. Also, you can't even cook a packet of cup noodles in your room, as they can't afford to have proper ventilation or exhaust. This detail was also not shared beforehand while booking, instead I was told that I will be fined 400 euros if I cook in the room, for a room that was selling at 80 euros a night. Ridiculous
