Aadam Hotel Wilhelmina is located in the serene south of Amsterdam. Till today it remains one of the city's most desired area. Of all the beautiful streets of Koninginneweg has the refined charm of the century old houses. It is in the heart of cultural Amsterdam, a 5-minute walk from the iconic Vondelpark which is the city's most famous park with the grand entrance from Koningslaan where joggers, Skaters and Cyclists find scenic landscapes seeped in tranquility. There are restaurants and cafes inside the park. Whether exercising or lazing around there is plenty to enjoy along with fresh air. T...More details

Situated in the gorgeous Oud Zuid suburb near Vondelpark. Close to tram lines, restaurants, museums etc. The owner has over 3o years of Hotel experience and we were welcomed like royalty. The breakfeast was nicely prepared and more tha sufficient. I can highly recommend them.
In the nicest possible way - adequate

It’s a budget hotel so we didn’t expect a swimming pool and ballroom. It’s somewhere to sleep after a busy day schlepping round Amsterdam and for that purpose it’s perfect. It has a comfortable bed and a working shower (TV didn’t work but didn’t really want to watch) . Our room faced the road which was a little noisy with the trams passing. Didn’t stop me sleeping though.

After reading the reviews about Hotel Wilhelmina on TripAdvisor and Google, I must admit my partner and I were very skeptical about our stay there. However, we were extremely impressed with the hotel and would stay there again! We walked from Centraal station which is about an hour (but I would thoroughly recommend the walk as you pass significant landmarks such as Vondelpark and the Museum area - both of which are gorgeous places to visit) alternatively, you can get a tram straight from Centraal station that drops you almost on the doorstep of the hotel. The hotel is in an absolutely beautiful residential area. The room was completely satisfactory, it was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable, it has a lot of wear and tear but nothing that will put you off staying there. As stated in other reviews, the stairs are very steep, but please be aware this is the case for almost all of the buildings in Amsterdam due to how they are built, therefore cannot be avoided. There is a small Albert Heijn supermarket about a 5 minute walk up the road, Vondelpark is about 8 minutes walk, the Rijksmuseum is about 20-25 minute walk and central Amsterdam is a maximum 35 minute walk. Minor complaints are as follows; Construction work starting very early in the morning (about 7am), Better selection of tea and coffee needed. There are sachets of tea and coffee provided but we struggled as there was no milk, just creamer for the coffee, Fridge would be useful in rooms, bin room needed

We stayed here for 3 nights in August. We booked this hotel as we love the area it’s in and the pictures of the rooms looked great for the price. Our room was on the third floor, up 3 VERY steep flights of stairs. I knew the hotel didn’t have lifts, and had requested a lower floor via email before arriving (through Booking.com) but received no reply. We considered asking to change rooms but there was a sign on the door saying “Hotel Full” so figured there was no point/chance. After struggling up the stairs with our cases we were sorely disappointed when we finally reached our room. It was very small, boiling hot and pretty shabby. Lots of peeling paint work, dirty carpet etc and the bathroom absolutely stunk! We were however relieved to find a desk fan in the wardrobe which made sleeping in there slightly more bearable! The bed wasn’t too uncomfortable to be fair, although it is only a small double and the spare pillow in the wardrobe was also gratefully used. The shower wasn’t very powerful and also very difficult to control the temperature. The positioning of the toilet meant you had to sit sideways on it. The room was cleaned daily though and the complimentary toiletries were nice. The location of the hotel is lovely, but bare in mind you’re in a much quieter part of town (very short walk into Vondelpark) and a bit of a distance from the centre if that’s what you’re looking for, which we weren’t. There is a tram stop nearby though, the number 2 tram runs frequently taking you to the museums, Leidseplein, Flower Market, Dam Square and the centre. Didn’t have much interaction with staff other than checking in and out, but both ladies were friendly enough. I wouldn’t stay here again, although the price probably is reflective of the standard (compared to the rest of the city).
A pretty average hotel but with excellent lake view

The hotel is a fair uphill walk from the railway station. Our room was small. The hotel was unprepossessing but it had a superb view of the lake. The bistro restaurant is pretty basic but also fairly cheap.
