Luxurious boutique hotel

Reviewed 11 november, 2021

When the hotel learnt it was my boyfriends birthday, the staff left a personal written note in the room with a goody bag. This was unexpected and very much appreciated. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious and perfectly clean. Breakfast is served in an elegant room, freshly squeezed orange juice (machine) was a great touch.

Great hotel in an excellent locaiton

This hotel more than met expectations, with a comfortable room, cozy beds, amenities provided, and a friendly staff. The location is excellent, with everything you could possibly want within a reasonable walking distance. Less than 30 minutes to the major museums, you'll be able to enjoy a pleasant walk with cafes and restaurants en route. Just bordering the De Pijp neighbourhood, you'll find excellent restaurant choices, local hot spots, and hip boutiques all minutes away. We did not try breakfast at the hotel, but were able to enjoy coffee in the room and simply picked up some yogurt and kept in the mini-fridge. The staff were super accommodating and friendly, making this feel like a true 4-star hotel. The only thing worth noting that could be problematic for some is that the bathroom doors are frosted but only on one side, meaning that someone inside the room can see into the bathroom, but not the other way. If you're travelling with a significant other, its probably not a big deal, but if a parent and child travelling, coworkers, or two friends, this may be something to note as privacy while in the bathroom goes out the window. As two friends, we managed and made it work but we relied on an honour policy. Overall, great stay.

Client is not King

Modern and nicely situated but found a minimum of concern for the client. As it rained 24/7, I chose to eat in and was told no, we can’t help you heat up your food. A microwave was right next to them and there was no restaurant in the hotel. When I asked to have checkout at 1 and not 12, the answer was no…and a fake smile. Not to criticize the staff but more the policies imposed on the staff. It was pouring rain and had a train at 3.

Ok hotel

The hotel was located a bit out of the city center, approximately a 25-30 min walk from the Main Street. The room was good and cleaning as well. Unfortunately the staff was unprofessional and was not very polite!

Do yourself a favor, stay here

A truly wonderful hotel. First is the staff who are so helpful and really go the extra distance to make your stay at the hotel and Amsterdam special. And I have to mention how they accommodate special needs. They allowed me to ship some items there and held them for me until I arrived. The staff also facilitated getting me medical care after I decided to argue with gravity while cycling. Next is the location. On the edge of 2 wonderful neighborhoods there are so many great cafes and restaurants in the area. Even better multiple tram lines and the subway are within 1-5 minutes. The facilities are well maintained and the rooms very comfortable. I’ve stayed here twice and it is absolutely my “go to” hotel for future trips to Amsterdam.
