I stayed at the Clarion hotel in mid October with family and our experience was worse than we expected it to be even with the cheap price. We paid about 88 per night which is the cheapest that we could find within walking distance of Disneyland and rented two rooms. We were not expecting to spend much time at the hotel and weren't looking for anything fancy, we just needed a place sleep and bathe but this hotel is not even good enough for that. First of all the rooms are filthy, and this fact is even more concerning given the pandemic. We wiped down all of the surfaces and our wipes came out grey. The bathrooms are disgusting. My shower drain still had hair in it and the grout looks like it's never been cleaned. The 2nd room's bathroom floor looked like someone walked on it with muddy shoes. The water pressure is terrible and neither of the bathroom fans worked. And at one point our toilet broke after no one had been in the rooms for hours, I walked into our room after a day at the park and the toilet was running water and wouldn't flush. The rest of the room looked ok but after looking at the bathrooms I doubt the cleanliness of it which made sleeping there a less than comfortable experience. The tv is terribly outdated and the desk chair didn't even fit under the desk in the room so it just stuck out awkwardly making the room even smaller. Also the bottom door shelf broke on the mini fridge after placing a few water bottles there, so that's fun. The service was ok but you can tell they are understaffed. When checking in they only had one staff member working the front desk with a line of two people checking in, she was helping another guest who was off to side, answering the phone, and having to answer questions for guests walking by. On a side note, there was guest on my floor walking her vicious barking dogs throughout the hotel. I first noticed them when walking be their room where I thought a child was being murdered but really it was just 2 dogs barking nonstop. I saw the owner on the way to the elevator where she could barely hold them back as they lost their minds at me trying to walk past. My sister later said they were in the lobby doing the same thing. I'm amazed that they weren't kicked out but they did fit the ghetto atmosphere. This hotel is a 20+ min walk to Disney so you will be regretting it at the end of the day, we did. On the way you will see many sketchy, drugged out homeless people and the walk never seems to end when it's 11pm and you feel unsafe. Going back to this hotel was just such a downer at the end of a day at Disney. In the end don't stay here just because you want to save money, it's not worth it.
Oldie but a Goody

We arrived and were greeted by the happy and friendly night staff. We were checked in quickly and in our room within 10 minutes. The third floor room was clean and comfortable. It served as a great base of operations for our Disneyland adventure. The place is old and tired, but still has what it takes to get the job done!!! Thank you!

Horrible experience, not what is advertised. Rooms are dirty, not up to date and if you see the maintenance guy more then once then you know they have issues. Their website states they have enhanced their cleaning procedures due to COVID however there was hair in the bathroom, on the sheets and towels. I know its an older hotel but the tub was gross it looked like someone had just taken a shower, the fridge and microwave were also disgusting. We were switched from our original room twice, so stayed in 3 different rooms due to maintenance problems. Not fun when you have to pack up everything at 10pm to switch rooms after a long day at Disney with two toddlers and a baby! Worst experience ever. We were definitely not happy and will not be staying there ever!

Where do I start great location, close to Disneyland and walking distance to Mortons steakhouse So i chose this hotel because I needed a medical procedure and when making the reservation with an additional blanket, several additional pillows and near an ice machine, strike 1-2-3- When i arrived i got none of those, fortunately, the desk check in young lady enthusiastically helped..blanket and pillow I'll get them"....... near the ice machine "there's not one on your floor" but I can get u near the elevator and there's one just 1 floor up" Illianna was very very helpful.. but go no support. so after she helped me to my room on the 5th floor (i tipped accordingly) I found that the ice machine on the 6th floor didn't work ..note there were only 3 ice machines ....for 9 floors.... whose idea was that ..what pencil-pushing idiot thinks that s a great economical move (the other machines had been removed) and the one on the 6th floor was malfunctioning...Illiana got on the phone with the maintenance staff and that machine was working for a few hours. Also, she got with the kitchen staff and told me she's would arrange for ice delivered to the room in the event I was incapacitated TU Illianna u will have no problem finding a better property to work for ...you showed real initiative so the next day while recuperating from my procedure I unpacked my computer only to find out the socket/outlets under the "desk" area didnt work ( i found that out after crawling around plugging in and out other lamps etc " so thank you for that hotel management team..so i was not able to sit at a desk and use my computter that was a wasted day so bring your own power cord extensions. The only good thing about being there (besides Illianna's perky energy and sincere thoughtfulness) as I was within walking distance to Morton's steak house..yep that's it that's the only selling point for this property
