Fabulous
We have been going to this hôtel twice a year since it opened, about 10 years ago or more.We always go with an immense pleasure. The staff is so helpful and kind. The rooms are big, comfortable, very clean. Incredible breakfast. Good restaurant. It is ideally situated, near the town center (3 minutes’walk) but very calm. We warmly recommend this hôtel.
Warm Welcome
I recently spent five nights in the Art Hotel as part of a ski group vacationing from the northeastern US. We were a group of 27, with the diverse needs and requests one would expect of a larger group. We found the service, accommodations, and overall ambiance to be outstanding. Hotel owners (Ellie and Albert) and hotel staff were warm and attentive. The meals included sufficient choices to satisfy anyone's preferences. The rooms were comfortable and clean. But the best part was the gracious and welcoming atmosphere in the hotel. I would recommend Arthotel anyone making plans to visit Andorra. Our stay was a delight.
Excellent Hotel!
Stayed at Art Hotel February 2020 for a ski trip with my U.S. ski club. It was an excellent location to walk all around the city. The staff (front desk, bar and restaurant) were all very helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean and pretty. Comfortable room and bed. Easy bus ride to the ski mountains. The owners of the hotel even gave our group a ski tour of Grandvalira along with photos and video!! THANK YOU!! My only complaint was that the hotel was very warm (which I have found throughout Europe). We had to keep the window open. (In their defense, outside was unusually warm.)
Disappointing experience with smartbox
We booked this hotel for a WE in January (18) using the SMARTBOX titled "WE gourmand and SPA" that is supposed to include 1 night in hotel with a degustation dinner. The double room had two separated small beds, the SPA was out of service and the dinner proposed was the "half board" with a very limited choice. We decided to take food from the Menu (pulp, artichokes, rice, beef and onion soup with red wine). The waiting time for a table was 40 minutes, the food was delicious (but the beef) however we have been charged extra 80EUR for the dinner. The experience did not meet or expectations.
3 nights of no sleep ☹️ not a good hotel for light sleepers
Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in January. We was issued a room with twin beds as there was no double rooms available when we arrived late on Thursday night although I did request a double room when I booked the hotel 2 months before we stayed. This wasn’t too much of a problem however as the receptionist told us we could push the beds together and the cleaners would make it up as a double bed from then on. When we got to the room we pushed the beds together however the cleaners continued to make them up as single beds every day anyway. On the second evening of our stay my partner went to have a shower and there was no hot water. I phoned down to reception and told the lady that we that have no hot water and she replied back with “hang on I’ll call you back” to which we never did get a call back. We therefore decided to leave the shower running and after about 10 minutes it started to warm up. For the entire 3 nights we stayed here we really struggled to sleep as we kept hearing the persons phone in the room next to us vibrating and ringing. The cleaners started working early in the morning and was really loud having conversations with each-other and the road outside of the hotel was very loud with cars and motorbikes speeding up and down in the early hours of the morning. We also couldn’t watch the television as the signal kept cutting out. All in all we can’t understand how this hotel has been rated a 4 star as we’ve stayed in many hotels and in our opinion it shouldn’t be more than 3 stars. On our last day we had a coffee in the bar area whilst we waited for our coach to arrive, we waited 10 minutes at the bar before a member of staff came over to take our order, we then couldn’t find a member of staff to pay when we had finished and I had to go and search to find somebody. I’m summary, positive points about this hotel include comfortable mattresses and pillows, reasonably priced and the hotel is in a good, central location. Negative points include very noisy at night, paper thin walls and unhelpful receptionist. Do not book this hotel if you are a light sleeper. Saying that, my partner has no problem sleeping usually and even he couldn’t sleep at this hotel.
