A DUMP OF A ROOM TO SLEEP IN
Reviewed 18 june, 2022
What a dump of a twin room assigned to us. Cockroaches were all over. Dilapidated furniture, shabby closet, bad lighting, etc. you would dread having gone out of town and staying in a room far less than the comfort you are accustomed to. Their solution? Upgrade. As if the alternative room is worth the extra 909PHP. Bigger in space but the pillow cases had holes, and so did the towels. Don't even look for housekeeping. You have to request that they clean the room. The guy on the evening shift is SO UNPROFESSIONAL (June 15). He was busy looking at his phone and didn't attend to us at once. Staff don't wear uniforms nor do they have a name plate to identify them. I don't know what OYO is doing to maintain this property as part of their "chain". Warning: if it's an OYO hotel it would be best to check the property thoroughly. I booked online on their site; what was charged me was less than the quoted price. ONLY FOR ME to find out that there was a big catch to it. LESSON: If it's too inexpensive, there always will be something suspicious about it. Is OYO tolerating low prices for super shanty rooms so that customers will "upgrade" to the next slightly better room? As a first time customer, I am never going back to an OYO hotel.

Terrible experience. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!

We booked the Presidential Suite (One Bedroom Suite). Upon checkin they first put us in a different room. When we queried this we were informed that the presidential suite was already occupied. We looked at the other rooms. Unfortunately they were old and dated, smelled stale and musty, stained bedding, rusty bathroom fixtures, walls in need of painting. We didn’t want to stay in any of the other rooms so we decided to move to another hotel. The hotel front desk staff promised that we would get a full refund through Agoda to our credit card. Unfortunately that never happened, and all emails to OYO and Euroasia hotel went unanswered. Terrible experience. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!!

A Visit Again to this Hotel after 2019- April 2022 Visit
Reviewed 12 may, 2022
over the years i have stayed at this hotel many times. the last time i visited was in 2019 then it was terrible, and i have made a previous review here. But now OYO have taken over and made a big improvement. The staff from the Receptionists to the porter to the cleaners & security are GREAT. This visit was for a period over 3 weeks broken up and i enjoyed my stay immensely and had some great banter with all the staff that where professional all the time, any problems where dealt with immediately. i left for Manila for 1 week and they looked after my Large suit case in a safe lock up until my return. (FANTASTIC SERVICE). The only one little niggle is the pool area needs more seating area with some cover as there is only 4 tatty beds. the sun is blazing hot and no sun cover. but the pool is very clean and i enjoyed very much every day. the bar is also tidy the female staff where always helpful and polite. they even sold MAGNERS CIDER Yummy 250peso a can though(£3.90) Also the restaurant is useful and convenient but only small portions. Well done OYO your staff where Great look after them. Now i guess you will put prices up after a good report . DR

I don't usually come on here to complain, but I think fair warning is in order. Tourist are flooding back into the Philippines, and speaking hotel bargains as they do. We are at this hotel right now, and it is worn out and run down. The staff are nice, all of the elements are here, but there is no elevator, the stairs are worn down to bare wood in places, the wall paper is peeling. My biggest complaint is the pics they use on the hotel booking website. I checked, and the pics are actually of this place, but either they are from when it was brand new, or more likely the photos are whitewashed and photoshopped. The first room they put us in was below the road level, like a half basement, with small windows opening onto the literal gutter of the highway. The 2nd room we took is on the 3rd floor and in better shape, but still nothing like the pics. The pool pic is taken from. Funny angle which makes it look Olympic size, but actually it's about 20 feet wide. The rooms are big, the location is good, the price is right, just temper your expectations about the condition of the place.

DO NOT STAY HERE

I had to stay at this place last year because of these ridiculous quarantine procedures that the Philippine Gov't has implemented, but I digress. The room itself is disgusting, I had roaches as room mates with me. The bathroom would get flooded due to how the shower was constructed so I had to use their towels to sop up the water on the floor. I had to get my brother to bring me some bed sheets because they were filthy and had a weird smell. The windows don't even open in order to let some air in, like I'm living some unrealized prison fantasy. Don't let me get started on the food: the portions are tiny and what they do give you would not even pass "karinderia" standards. I'd rather buy something off the streets which I actually had my brother do for me since it was so bad. They gave me a gigantic jug of water though. BUT the jug didn't have a spout and came with a small plastic cup so meaning I'd have to dunk that cup in the jug or try to tip that thing over just to get a drink. I dunked that cup alright, but just used it to wash my face with. Again, had my brother bring me some water instead. I implore anyone thinking of staying here, RUN AWAY and spend the extra money to get something decent instead. I wish I had and am doing my part to make sure no one makes the same mistakes I did.
