A review of 2 halves

Reviewed 10 october, 2021

This is a difficult review to write. This hotel was a mix of the excellent and the disappointing - it was nearly 5 stars. Could have been 4 stars. Maybe 3.5 ! The Good - the location is superb - cannot be beaten. Close to Juan but far enough away that the beach is quiet. The private beach and pool are lovely - snorkelling with the fish 100 yards from your room. And the real highlight - the staff. Whoever trains the team is a star. Everyone was polite, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble - from reserving a “favourite” space on the beach to moving rooms. The best team I have met at a Hotel. The Bad - we chose a harbour view (rather than a garden view). We got a view of the car park. There were some boats behind the car park - but not what can be expected. Or had been sold. Actually there are 3 types of views. The car park. The garden. And a combo of the garden and the sea and the harbour. After one night we were moved to the latter - and if you can get one of these rooms you won’t get a better view many places in the world. The Black-out shutters. Whoever designed these has never slept in a hotel. They are perfect in keeping out light. But the sound of them being closed or raised is like a dustbin collection. So the hotel wakes when the first room opens their blinds. And there is then a “Dawn Chorus” which ends any rest. Fortunately the weather was so nice that there was a benefit to the rude awakening. But seriously- what a disappointment in a top end hotel.

1nt stay (family of 4 adults, including a vegan)

Chose hotel as saw on Trip Advisor great reviews for vegans. Contacted hotel after booking and requested advice on Restaurant. Received email stating no vegan food was available in hotel restaurant, but recommended 2 local restaurants (both of which were closed). Told hotel that I booked having seen reviews, so they checked and eventually said the chef would make something vegan for us. Very surprised then to find 3 vegan items on room service menu, which just shows they could have said they did in the first place. Ordered vegan soup from room service - absolutely delicious. Dinner in hotel’s beach restaurant - vegan food outstanding. No idea why they didn’t just say vegans were well catered for in the first place! Definitely very accommodating to vegans eating at hotel! Various non-dairy milks available at breakfast!

5 star luxury at it’s best

Impeccable hôtel with impeccable staff. Everyone makes you feel so welcome and always at your beck and call. All the staff knew each of our names and were always respectful but not too formal and just good fun. Nothing is too much of an ask. And always with a smile. From the car valet to the receptionists to the waiters on the beach and restaurant, the cleaner, and the masseuse. We can’t highlight everyone individually, but special mention to Ludo, Antoine, Cherine, Jules, our special lovely breakfast lady and of course Angelo, the maître d who supervises everything with an eagle eye. Mr Farneti, the unflappable, charming hotel manager is the perfect manager for this charming hotel. The rooms are all lovely. Minimalistic and tastefully furnished. The views perfect. Just a great experience. Feet in the water quite literally. Everything takes place outdoors by the private beach. You can’t ask for better more relaxing holiday experience. Thank you to all of you who looked after us.

This is my 2nd year in row here and what an amazing days!!! The beach service is the best across the area … the whole team is absolutely wonderful and friendly, however, I would like to point out Céline and Ludovic for providing the best-in-class customer experience (Merci!) … last but not least Le Cap restaurant, fresh and beautiful food. I love this place. I highly recommend enjoying the summer break at Cap D’Antibes Beach Hotel. See you next year. Merci beaucoup.

Impressive Lunch

This review addresses the beach club restaurant. The food here was the best we had in the Antibes area. It’s pricey, but well worth a visit in our view. Of particular note were the fish dishes and dessert (three sublime cookie ice cream sandwiches). Unless you want drink service on the beach, avoid spending money on beach chairs here. The equally nice and larger public beach (with a cafe for drinks and such) sits right next to it.
