Anno 1970 and no twin beds
Hotel of reasonable standard anno 1970. But despite prior confirmation via e-mail about room with twinbeds, only double bed was available to us. And it was impossible to communicate just minimally with the receptionist in English. Furthermore, the parking lot was fully occupied it would have been nice to know that you should book this in advance. So not a great hotel.
Perfect location for strolling to the wine cellar experiences
Lovely boutique hotel, located on the edge of the compact pedestrianised old town. Spacious, comfortable bedroom with good bathroom, the odd street-racer noise in mainly light night traffic didn't disturb our sleep. Breakfast gave the impression that the hotel had some staffing issues during our stay, lack of experience obvious and sour milk laid out. Quickly dealt with, and all staff very pleasant, but we avoided dining at the hotel, jic. 5 parking slots are available at €12 per day, ok for us out of season, but I'd try to book in advance other times. The low point of our stay was the receptionist, I'm afraid to say that "welcoming" was not in her vocabulary, and it wasn't just my party (of which 2 are fluent in Spanish), I witnessed the same sour response to English only speaking arrivals whilst waiting in reception to regroup. That girl needs some hospitality training pronto or this hotels reputation is going to suffer.
Good, but noisy location
We stayed one night at this hotel and have mixed feelings about the place. On the positive side the hotel staff were very friendly and the hotel’s location is great (in the center of the city). However, we woke up from very noisy construction work from the outside. Another annoyance was getting to the hotel by car; we circled around the hotel several times looking for a place to park and offload luggage, until we gave up and found a parking garage 5 minutes away.
One night stay
We chose this hotel for its central location. There is a covered garage for 9 euros per night and breakfast is 7.50 euros. Breakfast was somewhat limited. However there is a lovely sheltered terrace adjoining the restaurant where one can have lunch or dinner. We had dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed it. If you are looking for 4 Or 5 star this is not for you. If you want a comfortable typical Spanish hotel without too many frills for a reasonable price then it’s fine.
Perfect location, but not worth it
Although it boasts 4 stars it should be a high 2 or low 3: No place to unload luggage, minimal parking space, small room and noisy (it was a Saturday night) and average breakfast options. Bathroom was nice and front desk and bar staff very attentive Over $100/night, there is a better option down the road almost half price
