Poor Management Horrible Situation
My fiancee and I decided to stay at this hotel over the weekend for a three day getaway. We brought two of our dogs as allowed by the property. Upon arrival we checked in (were not required to sign any type of pet policy) We walked our dogs then put them in a kennel and went out. Within thirty minutes of being gone the front desk called. They informed us our dogs were barking. We left back to the hotel right after we got the call. Nine minutes later the manager calls and said if we aren't back in ten to fifteen minutes she would EXTRACT our dogs from the room. We arrived back exactly twenty two minutes from the first phone call. I asked to speak to the manager about her comment, but the lady at the front desk said she had left for the evening. It was at that time..(not at check in) that the front desk made us sign a pet policy stating that we couldn't leave the hotel without our dogs with us. When I asked why she hadn't presented this to us at check in she said she forgot. I then told her we would be leaving the next morning due to the fact of how we were treated and asked for a refund for the next day stay that we already had paid for. She refused saying we had not given a twenty four hour notice. We left the next morning at 7:15am. Decided to cut our trip short and went home. I would like to say to the Hilton Home 2 Suites in Hot Springs Arkansas that if our dogs would have been EXTRACTED from our room when we were desperately trying to get back as quickly as possible that I would have filed a lawsuit against this hotel and that corporation. Terrible Terrible management and customer service. I would urge people considering bringing your pets to this hotel to seek other alternatives...
I've stayed at better roach motels
The staff was not friendly, as a matter of fact they were borderline rude. The breakfast area was poorly maintained, stocked, and several items were "out of order". We checked out early, well late in the evening but lost our on a nights stay we paid for because we were so unhappy with the hotel. The man who checked us in was incompetent, and charged my card initially $485 for a 2 night stay. The reason I used booking was so I wouldn't have to deal with standing in the lobby for 55 minutes while he tried to figure out my room rate. Simple division would have told him the rate, based on my booking app I showed him repeatedly. Still waiting on that charge to be reversed. Absolutely terrible service all around. 10/10 do not recommend. That and the thermostats in the room are not calibrated. 68 degrees felt more like 80. And how are you going to yell at your customers for the sound of your door shutting in your hallways? Its shuts automatically, we cannot control that. Terrible terrible place to stay!
Amazing Staff and Thank You Kerry!
My wife and I were initially staying only 1 night. We ended up shifting our plans, extending 2 additional nights making a holiday Christmas weekend out of it. Everyone at the hotel was super nice and accommodating, including the all day/all night coffee and tea, and location off of the lake. This hotel is the only one we have stayed at that puts some effort into their breakfast as well since Covid. There was also one person that especially stood out for us was Kerry (not sure on spelling). She was THE main reason why we loved our stay so much. THANK YOU Kerry for making our 2020 Christmas a great one.
Cancelled my reservation the day of check-in....
I booked this room several weeks back for my Mom and aunt that were coming for Thanksgiving. I went with them to check in and the lady at the front desk could not find my reservation even though I had my confirmation email in hand. She informed me that someone in management cancelled my appointment. I did not get a phone call or email stating that my reservation was cancelled. I had booked a room with a lake view but due to them cancelling my appointment, there was not one available. After standing at the front desk for an hour (with my elderly Mom and aunt) with the new front desk girl calling every boss she could get in touch with, I was finally able to get them a room. The price was higher than when I had booked several weeks prior. If I had known my reservation was cancelled, I would have went somewhere else and saved myself a headache!
Amazing Stay with Excellent Staff!
One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at! Keri made our stay like we were one of the family. It was very safe, everyone wore their mask the whole time, and even got a parting gift since we liked the coffee so much! The rooms were comfortable with good heating and AC. The COVID didn’t stop them from providing us with excellent breakfast as well, and I learned the proper way to microwave an egg from the experienced staff as well. They allowed us to check out a induction stove to cook in the room! The staff was witty and speaking with them was very enjoyable. I would so stay here again, but I’d definitely book direct with Hilton the next time! Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making the trip a most memorable experience.
