a fave hotel, here is some information
We always stay at this hotel when visiting Arlington. Suddenly it wasn't coming up on any maps! I'm sharing this in case anyone else has been wondering like me. I found a Washington Business Journal article from 2018 that developer Dittmar Co. was seeking permission to replace the hotel with a pair of residential and hotel towers. Their plan was to break ground in 2020 and finish in three years. I will miss this hotel. They had pleasant rooms, warm staff members and a spectacular breakfast buffet.
Very nice clean but trouble with the keys and paid parking twice cause it got messed up but would stay again also there's a pastry shop with coffee was really good also the pool look wonderful but didn't have time to check it out fitness center with awesome but all in all pretty good
Last Minute Visit to Arlington, VA
This hotel is close to DC. I booked this hotel the day before I arrived in Arlington. I chose the hotel because it was close to a family member’s residence and has a heated pool. My trip was for six nights, but I only booked two nights until I could check out the property. I was very glad I had not booked six full nights. The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. I enjoyed my morning coffee and bagel from Potomac Perk. I must say though the hotel is in dire need of an update. I actually felt the room/suite was a little depressing. Would have been great had it been updated. I moved to another hotel property nearby after only two nights.
This ain’t your mommas Holiday Inn
If you think paying over $400 for a small, smelly, dirty hotel room for your family isn’t enough, add the ambience of loud hip hop music blasting through the walls at 11:30pm, doors slamming, the smell of ‘most’ likely medical marijuana seeping through the vents, and people screaming obscenities that make even a sailor feel uncomfortable. The definite ‘Cherry On Top Of The Sundae’ would have to be the midnight discovery of a very creative pubic hair art display on the bathroom ceiling that while being so sleep deprived, slightly looked like it belonged in one of the museums you came to DC to see but are too tired to go to now....
I wrote a review the last two years that I've stayed hear and the hotel has responded that they were renovating. I'm required to stay at theis hotel for work. Again, this year I didn't see any signs of renovation happening here. The hotel shows rooms light and bright painted white but that isn't the case in the rooms I've been assigned. The rooms were dark and decorated in 70s colors of green, orange and gold. The show had mold around the old shower doors and the tub surround stained. The inside of the bathrrom door was spladdered with something. There was a dining room chair at the desk instead of a movable desk chair. The outlet on the desk lamp didn't provide the space needed for a phone charger, outlets were lacking all around. There wasn't a nightlight in the bathroom. Lack of towels, toilet paper, shampoo etc Come on it isn't hard to get it right.....just to it already!
