More about the hotel
One of the bests
It was amazing, close to the beach, with a lot of services such as, transportation to the center and other beaches than geriba; bar at the beach, free massages, breakfast included among a lot of services. I would totally recommend it to families or couples because there is a really good pool, bar and kids play area. One of the Bests places in Búzios. I totally loved it
Could have been better.
Kids friendly, good staff, close to a nice beach, beach structure for guests, nice garden, reasonably good swimming pool. The hotel is nice but the structure lacks some conservation. Good breakfast. We had to change room due to air-conditioning failure. It happens, fine. Second room had a flooding bathroom every time we showered. Not comfortable at all. The beds are not so nice, TV options is very poor. Food is average and expensive. Lacking maintenance. Door handles of the bathroom of the com area, swimming pool deck with an exposed nail. Paint peeling in the bathroom wall. Old and stained towels. A bit more attention on the details would have made a good difference.
Nice hotel
We were willing to go to Buzios for the weekend and we found a great deal in this hotel. We got there and we had a nice surprise, they had chairs and umbrellas on the beach and also a kids room at the hotel. It was a really nice staying. Ps: on their website they say the pool is heated but it wasn’t. Definitely we will return.
Pretty but disappointing
The grounds of the hotel and the facade looks very nice. Very much the romantic boutique beach resort (although there were a fair bit of families with young kids). Service staff seem attentive and polite. There were some reviews of unhelpful staff but it could be that they don't speak English much. We didn't have that particular issue since my husband is Brazilian. However, this is where the honeymoon ends. The room was very run down and poorly maintained. Stains on the walls. Grubby bed frame with residue of things is rather not know what of. The sheets were old, grey and stiff. The runner that they keep insisting on putting back on the bed had stains and dried up splotch of white stuff on it. Very gross. The aircon is noisy and not very cold. But it's the bathroom that was terrible. The water from the shower flows out into the whole bathroom, making it completely wet. The towels were stained and threadbare, I've had budget motel towels that were way better by far. The flush didn't work well and there is a stench coming out from the toilet pipes that permeates the room. Especially when you return from the day. I would have thought it was a 2.5-3 star hotel. Except that we paid a rate close to a 5 star price. But I suppose that's Brazil/Buzios for you I guess. But for us, that have travelled the world extensively, and regularly travel to the beautiful beach resorts in Asia, for half the price, this is a huge (and rather expensive) disappointment. We wouldn't be back again.
Great hotel
The hotel is a chain if I am not wrong. The staffs were great, most of them spoke spanish, portuguese and english. My partner is australian which helped a lot. The food was exceptional! They have shuttles to the main city town plus Geriba beach is walking distance. I had an amazing massage followed by cocktails by the pool. The room was big and had an outdoor jacuzzi. I would definitely go back!
