Hotel looked ok until band started at 8.30pm. No word when booking of live band that bad that room vibrated. Couldn’t even watch tv in my room as band was so loud. Phoned reception and gentlemen that answered phoned was very rude and checky, no a way to speak and deal with a paying guest. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Adequate - just!

I would imagine that OAP coach parties love this hotel, but other guests may not have the same feelings. he hotel is in a superb location at the head of Loch Long, with rooms at the front having views of the "Arrochar Alps". It's also conveniently placed for Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. That's probably the best things about the hotel. The rest is mostly mundane or worse. The hotel is a bit of a 1980's time warp in places, our room was cramped with an oversized desk and chair taking up most of the available space. Dinner is a standard menu - 3 choices for each course, some good and some not so good. Lounge bar looks like it's had a recent facelift, but the bar manager did not seem at all concerned that the lager coming out of the pump warm. Breakfast was a distinctly average buffet. Staff attitude varied from very good to uninvolved. Overall i think it's trading on its location.
Overpriced and with awful breakfasts

We stayed in Arrochar Hotel in June 2022 for three nights. For the price paid (£130 per night) the room standard was very poor: some of the light bulbs were not working, window was not working properly, bathtub was mouldy and double taps must have seen queen's coronation. The rooms are not serviced, unless explicitly requested. Also watch out for the stroboscope-like light bulb in an elevator, which can cause epilepsy. Breakfasts were *really* the worst I had in a hotel: you're limited to toasts and eggs (not fresh - either scrambled from powder or mass-made, pre-fried) with typical extras like bacon, sausages, beans, tomato. The other options were jam and some kind of oatmeal. No fresh vegetables or fruit at all, no options for sandwiches like cheese, ham etc., no alternative bread or rolls and also no desserts of any kind (unless you count jam as dessert). Dinner was not much better: burger was of the poorest quality, fries weren't fresh, coleslaw was dry and wine was of the cheapest kind. All of staff were very nice and helpful. However to my two emails sent many days in advance I only received one response, which didn't really answer my question (seemed like a copy and paste answer). The most positive aspect was the room view, which was amazing, but for the price paid the overall experience was very disappointing.

An unfortunate choice for us on our three hotel break this hotel compared very poorly the other hotels, disappointing kerb appeal, under pressure reception staff, dated and tired, bedroom tired redecoration done to a poor standard, light cover in bathroom missing, bath had a worn part in it, handle for the shower to bath switch missing, Hotel warm stuffy felt unventalated, dead flies on all the window ledges including dinning room, set menu mains disappointing, We never pased on our thoughts to the hotel as this was the product they offered us which wasn't reflected in the £120 I would have paid £75 Lovely view out of the bedroom window
Sad hotel in need of some serious TLC

Sad hotel in need of some TLC. Stayed here one night with family and tour bus driver. Rooms smelt stale and possibly of cigarette smoke. Beds were uncomfortable and more than one of the mattresses should have been replaced some years ago. Mine in particular sank down by 60% of its depth and was very lumpy. View from our room was the back yard full of trash that could easily have been cleaned up. Warning to mobility impaired. I did not see an easy way to access the hotel except up two short flights of steps. May want to check if you need special access. Fix those issues and clean the place up and you have a nice hotel on the shores of Loch Long, not far from Loch Lomond. Prices are also very reasonable. Plenty of free parking.
