“The New Normal “

Reviewed 9 august, 2022

The new normal at Millbrook includes no service of your room daily due to the “green package”. At no point did I agree to clean the room, make my own bed, get rid of the rubbish, to reception and ask for a refill of coffee and milk. This place has dropped standards big time. No staff, inefficient service. Considering one pays peak ski season rates to receive substandard service. Don’t bother coming here, You’ll be disappointed!

Beautiful Resort

Was our first time at Millbrook and we thought what a great place to stay after spending the day up the ski fields. It lived up to its expectations. The care that this resort has is astonishing whether it be the avenue, the rooms or the restaurant's everything was perfect. One thing we noticed dining out in Queenstown is everyone looks down and unhappy to be there, which was the case for one of the resutrant at Millbrook. Kobe was different though. no task was to much and everyone just looked united as a team and it showed in the atmosphere and service. The manager, Dylan I think his name was, was outstanding and very accommodating and is clearly a key part to the Millbrook team. Millbrook was amazing and we will be back for sure next winter

Great family stay for a family of four. Very well conceived. High standards of service and facilities. Lovely to be back

I found the resort to be at the same high standard that I have enjoyed for 20 years. Queenstown is finding life a little hard this year with worker shortages but Millbrook is coping well. All of our dining experiences and my experiences at the gym and with reception were tip top. The impeccable landscape is a great start to any day! To accomodate a family of four at $700 a night on a ski trip (along with the unit’s own laundry facilities), two large bedrooms with enormous twin sink ensuites (separate bath and showers) and a large living dining area with a full functioning kitchen was also superb. Included in this was super fast wifi; access to a wonderful large complimentary gym, an indoor pool and our door spa pools. The restaurants are great. We only dined at Kobe this time but have enjoyed the others on past visits. Our last two family trips had us in a downstairs unit but this time we were upstairs which I preferred.

Winter family holiday destination.

Fantastic Family holiday ~ The team at reception were incredibly helpful and willing to assist us to book everything from accommodation through to ski fittings, snow passes.. Pick ups, shuttles, etc which made our stay so super easy. The resort itself is fantastic; especially for children. We stayed in a house near a little pocket park with a playground. There is also a larger playground with a trampoline.. you can purchase duck food for a gold coin donation at the front desk. The ducks are so friendly ~ our Toddler loved feeding them each day. There’s so much room for little ones to run and explore. Incredible snow covered mountains in all around. The housekeeping team worked so hard to be in and out keeping our accommodation clean and fresh ~ thank you. Kobe was fantastic ~ incredible experience & timely which was important to us with a toddler. Millhouse was great but the meals were a lot slower (not a problem if you’re child free). The reception team made sure we had everything we needed, offered pencils etc for our daughter. Lovely polite man (may have been Japanese in background/I wish I knew his name) drive us into Queenstown the night of the fireworks. So easy. The snow fields were easily accessible for taking our daughter to see the snow. Cadrona is the better skiing in our opinion ~ easily arranged through reception. The soa was great, there was a make therapist (again I don’t have his name) who was absolutely fantastic. Everything you need is onsite or there is a count down online/click&collect. The resort grounds are movie set picturesque. Overall we couldn’t be more thankful for the service. It made a great holiday really unforgettable. Thank you Millbrook ~ we can’t wait for next year ❄️ 🍷🌾

Can't go past the great location, good sized rooms with fireplaces (often), friendly staff, and amenities (spas, pool, gym, tennis, cafe etc) at Millbrook. Always a restful experience. Perfect in any season.
