Wonderful Stay

Reviewed 1 october, 2021

The Albemarle Inn is just beautiful inside and out. The staff is welcoming and kind. We were unable to stay in the room we reserved due to a plumbing issue but in a historic home this is sometimes unavoidable and understandable. I believe the room we were given was larger anyway and the bathroom with its cast iron claw foot tub was super charming. The pumpkin waffles at breakfast were delicious! This was my husband & my first B&B stay and our only regret is that we only had 1 night to spend. The next time we are in Asheville we will definitely return. One of the highlights for me was meeting Simon the house cat. What a sweet guy he is! ❤️😻

Wedding anniversary

Reviewed 26 september, 2021

Decided to take my wife to Ashville for our wedding anniversary and after scouring the internet for accommodation settled on the Albemarle Inn and what a great decision. We stayed in Juliet's Chamber on the first floor having a wonderful balcony overlooking the gardens with the room itself being beautifully adorned with antique furniture albeit the bathroom was somewhat on the small side. Upon arrival we were greeted by Rosemary a very pleasant lady to say the least who offered to help with our luggage and gave us a tour of her beautifully appointed historic home. Staff were very pleasant with the lady serving breakfast being very attentive to all our needs. Overall a very pleasant two night stay, my only critique being I would have liked to have had tea/coffee facilities in the room rather than having to go down to the kitchen each morning. Would certainly recommend the Albemarle Inn to our family and friends for it's overall ambiance and location. Thank you Rosemary and Fabrizo for making our anniversary truly memorable.

Flawless

We've stayed at a number of b&bs over the years and this one ranks near the top. The hosts were very gracious and helpful with dinner preparations. The bathroom was among the most elegant we ever experienced. Everything was meticulously maintained. Rosemary and her husband have thought of everything to make guests comfortable, including a ramp to wheel your luggage up the steps! The only suggestion I can offer would be to pick up the pace of breakfast serving for impatient suburbanites like us. They still got an a+ for an outstanding stay.

A Gem in Asheville

From the moment you drive up the driveway to the Inn you will be pleased with your selection of a getaway in Asheville. The rooms are perfect. The grounds are beautiful. Breakfast is included and does not disappoint. Most importantly the hosts and staff are gracious, welcoming, and accommodating. We hope to return in the future

First Impression: beautiful, but then the realty.

Well situated about 10 minutes north of the downtown area in a very quiet neighborhood. No problem parking. Our room was spacious, clean, and well decorated. But at $250/night I expect everything to work. Wouldn't you? Our sink would barely drain. We complained three times but it was no better when we checked out than when we checked in. The ceiling fan didn't work, and the knob on the top of the bed post was loose and kept falling off. Our first morning it took 40 minutes to have our breakfast served. The breakfast itself was excellent. The building is beautiful inside and out. The staff was friendly and efficient.
