Omni disses mask mandate.

Reviewed 1 december, 2021

I am so disappointed in the Omni Grove Park Inn for not at all enforcing the mask mandate that is currently in effect in the County in which it resides.Although there were signs at all the entrances at least 40% or more of the people at the resort were unmasked inside. In the shops, walking around the hotel and admiring the Gingerbread houses, the unmasked were everywhere. Dangerous for all at the hotel.

Halls of the Mountain King

Reviewed 24 november, 2021

What you don't realize, driving up to Grove Park's grand front entrance, is that you're seeing only the back-shoulders of a monster resort dug into the arms of a mountain enclave. The only way to grasp its full size is looking back from midway out the golf course. This could be Omni's finest: They've mastered the art of making the gigantic look small, comfy and nostalgic. It's a real hike just to visit all their restaurants and taverns, all well-directed to fabulous sunset views. We didn't have time for most of the shops. Integrated garage-parking worked flawlessly. But they're a victim of their own success, especially in this pandemic: Be sure to get reservations for any meals, and anticipate that your fellow guests will compete with you in nearby town restaurants like Jettie Rae's Oyster House ("House?" It's mostly tent!). Hospitality everywhere around here has the same problem with staff shortages. Let's hope they can fix this soon. And Grove Park's iconic Spa? Don't even think of reserving a treatment less than a month in advance, and there are no day-passes for the saunas, steam-rooms, sculpted spa-pools, etc. But despite these Covid pains, we had a fabulous 3-night stay and never got bored. It was a perfect match for our day-visit to the Biltmore Estate on the far side of Asheville.

Thank you to the entire staff of this great resort, from the first step in the door to the last step out into the 22 degree temps it was very relaxing and enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was wonderful could even try to think of something i would add. Great job Chef!! THE FIREPLACES WOW...The Spa day was great! What a way to just forget about the outside world. Keep up the great job it was very nice trip away from home and work and we will be back. Thanks again...

Gorgeous hotel! Staff was friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was horrible!

The hotel was gorgeous! The valet staff was friendly and welcoming. Our food was beyond great! Housekeeping was horrible! Bed only 1/2 made. No coffee or towels were restocked and there was a pair of women’s panties left from a former guest left in the drawer. 🤮

Do not book unless at least 3-4 months in advance

Reviewed 22 november, 2021

I have enjoyed coming to the Grove Park Inn since I was a child, 30 years ago. Since Omni has taken over, some things have changed, and mostly not for the better. In the current state, I would not book less than 3-4 months in advance. Closer than that and it is nearly impossible to get dining or spa reservations, without which you may as well just visit for the view (even if you do have to pay the holiday parking fee!). There is also no room service due to Covid - which, given the very limited dining availability, is a problem if traveling with a family. We are still planning to come for a visit prior to this Christmas but for next Christmas we will try out a competitor.
