More about the hotel
Hoped for better....despite friendly staff....
Do NOT get the Catherine M room! Carpet was filthy! Room was dark! It’s just an old hotel & not special. Granted, when leaving & asked about our stay, I told them. Staff replied they were going to replace the carpet (then why rent it?) & had recently had it cleaned (they should get their money back)... They suggested we call for reservations & mention we want. Bright room, but why should we have to do that? If you get a room facing on the alleyway in between the buildings, it will be DARK inside no matter what the website pictures show.... also, breakfast was rather pedestrian. “Breakfast potatoes “ are cooked twice & hard the day they were busy. Omelet was well done. Eggs Benedict had soggy English muffin. Oatmeal was good.... paid allot for this disappointment.
Wonderful stay
We have nothing but the best things to say about our stay at this historic inn. The staff was amazing and very courteous. Rooms super comfortable. They are friendly towards the kids and had great breakfast choices in the morning. Beautiful location close to Lithia park and downtown. We will surely come back here.
Our below average stay at “boutique hotel”
Very disappointed. The staff is very unhelpful. Their breakfast offer is not convenient at all if you are planning on doing a day trip and have to leave early. We had a rafting trip we were scheduled to leave the hotel by eight Which means that you’re not going to be offered the breakfast that is inclusive in your stay. They will offer you a continental breakfast is very spartan and will only deliver the night before so you have to keep the food in your room overnight. It hey don’t even have coffee in the morning before 8am. They also charged us $100 per night for our 2 daughters even though we did not have any breakfast or coffee. We were then told that we would get a credit but of course that was another empty promise by a very unhelpful staff. Our friends stayed at a different B&B and had an amazing experience. Don’t waste your mo Wu on this place. Do your research. Plenty of nice B&Bs in the area with much better service. The only positive about the place was their bar. Very nice mixologist.
Can't believe how they are handling Covid
Totally unacceptable that they will not accommodate cancellation of a reservation made less than a week ago, with no foresight that we would not be able to travel due to Covid orders in Oregon. Just awful!
Beautiful Inn, Delicious Breakfast
The inn is beautiful, the rooms are spacious and charming, the bathrooms are modern. It’s two blocks form the theaters. There is off street parking - a big deal, as you know if you’ve been to the festival in Ashland before. We loved it here. Breakfast is included and ordered off the menu. For me, I was surprised and happy that they had a delicious gluten free option to replace the croissant which came to the breakfast table as an appetizer before we ordered. The staff was great and can get tickets to the Shakespeare Festival at nearly half price - call them in advance with dates and performances you want to see. We will be back.
