Amazing stay thanks to Mr. Juan Carlos

Beautiful hotel, with great employees, and even better atmosphere, perfect place to stay in Aspen. I would like to thank all employees from front office, and all bartenders from the hotel's living room (dining area). Also, special thanks to Mr. Juan Carlos, and pastry chef Miss Lynnsey - my husband and I renewed our vows during our stay, Mr. Carlos managed to put whole ceremony together in two days, handled the flowers, makeup, hair, photographer (which at the end we decided to have him - and it was match made in heaven), dining options, and everything else what needed to be done, while Miss Lynnsey made the most special most beautiful cake decorated with my favorite flowers - purple hydrangeas. I would also like to add that Mr. Juan should be promoted into event coordinator. Also, special thanks to all young men who worked very hard on driving us around all the time. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff.
Thank you W family, hope to visit you soon.
Poor service for a W

Agree with other reviewers that the bang for the buck is not happening at this property. Stylish and comfortable but overpriced for the service. Seems as though they are short of staff; however, their attempts to address their problems are missing the mark. We had arranged for a courtesy car ride. As we were walking out the room door to meet the driver the front desk called to let us know that unfortunately they had no one to drive us. The "good news" was if we hustled we could take a bus 3 blocks away leaving in less than 10 minutes. After asking what we were paying $50 in resort fees for, that charge was removed.
Good location ... but the website promise is not kept up

We picked this rather new hotel in Aspen for a brief stay in Aspen as we do every year. The place is nice, modern and comfortable. But when you book a “Fabulous King” room with Mountain View you have of course certain expectations ... and not looking at their valet parking lot and a neighboring building with some horizon views over the roofline of what might be the peaks of Aspen. The service at check-in is nice and competent, while waiting 35 minutes for the luggage to be brought to the room or more than 30 minutes for shuttle booked to/from restaurant does not live up to the high standard this hotel wants to be place at. Not bad ... but not absolutely worth the 800 USD charge per room and night ... Even for Aspen.

the rooms here are TIIIINY- which isn’t a huge deal because you spend most of your time outdoors. however, there is no place to store clothes which is frustrating. the service here is incredibly poor. while the staff is friendly, they aren’t attentive or responsive to requests. i will not stay here again.
Are we in Vegas?

We all know the W hotels are know for a hip, arty vibe, so I should not have been surprised at the thump-thump beat and the rainbow lighting in the bar, restaurant and patio area. It just did not seem to fit the western, out-doorsy Aspen scene. What did surprise me was the disconcerting hallways - the black and tan horizontal striped wall and carpet gave the feeling of being in the fun house at the county fair. The bedroom though comfy and clean featured two beds stacked theatre style in an alcove along the wall -I am sure to create/save space. The modern bathroom did have great amenities. Besides the bar/restaurant waiters, the staff were cursory polite.
