Outstanding customer service
My partner and I stayed at this hotel as we phoned up and received a great weekend deal by a very friendly lady who just only started working there. I will not publish her name due to privacy reasons but will call her miss A. When we arrived by car we were greeted by the charming hotel director who explained where we needed to park but allowed us to park out front while we got settled. At reception again we experienced great customer service when checking in. Despite these weird corona times we were made to feel extremely welcome. The room was spacious, perhaps a little dated, but clean and housed a very comfortable bed. The tiles in the shower room caused a little water logging to occur but apart from that, the shower was great. We also liked breakfast which had to be ordered from reception by filling in a little form and was nice and divers. The corona set 3 course evening meal was nice as well. Again the restaurant staff was very welcoming and even went out of their way to make us cocktails that were not on the menu while opening the bar just for us two. The pièce de resistance was being able to have breakfast outside on June 1st when the corona measures got relaxed. The hotel is centrally located right in the middle of the quaint city of Assen and is very close to the national park which is a must! Bikes can be rented from a place called fietsen en koffie for a reasonable daily price of 10 euros. Overall we loved our little weekend away at this hotel as we felt really at home.
Great stay in assen
Verry Nice and great hotel. Staff was really Nice and werry helpfull. Great rooms an rigt in the center of town. Breakfast was so great and in a Nice atmosfære. Will gladly stay there again nekst year
Basic room, friendly service, great location
Going down the title list; As rooms go the room was rather basic and utilitarian but at the same time a split toilet and shower were a bonus and it was nice and clean. Staff at check-in was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The location in Assen's city centre but close to main roads is quite practical.
very loud late music
a very nice clean hotel with very helpful friendly staff. Only issue we had was the very loud music on stage right outside our bedroom window until 4am on 2 nights we stayed there. It would have been nice to of been informed of this entertainment when we booked.
Basic room in central location
I stayed here for one night on a business trip. The main advantage of the hotel is its central location, right in the center of Assen. Restaurants and shops are all in easy walking distance. The hotel itself also has a restaurant, nice to sit outside or in the conservatory. My hotel room was ok, large, with basic furniture, would need some renovation. There was no safe in the room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Renovations were ongoing throughout the hotel, the stairs fixed temporarily, which did not give a good impression overall. Breakfast is served in the restaurant and was good. Overall a mixed experience: you get a good basic hotel room for a reasonable price, as long as you are ok with the ongoing construction work.
