This hotel is in serious need of upgrades. Our room was dingy with poor lighting, tired drapes and furniture and discolored bathroom fixtures. The breakfast was not as advertised with zero items in the toast and muffin bar. Not one staff member wore a mask and there was no evidence of any COVID cleaning protocol. The jacked up price of $265 for a UGA football weekend added insult to injury. Radisson should be embarrassed to have its name on this place. Avoid it if you possibly can.
Hotel was ok. Facilities needed upgrade and attention

Pool was a no go. Water was dirty and cold. Rust was everywhere in the pool area. Lights weren’t even on. Dry wall was falling. Rooms were ok but certain maintenance could have been done. It could have been worse but won’t recommend.

My wife and I stayed one night in this hotel, November 20, 2021. The date fell on a UGA football game weekend, so rooms in Athens were limited. The hotel’s regular rate for one night was $104/night, but on this occasion the cost on the hotel website was $263 plus tax which totaled over $300. Without much choice, I booked the room. The good things I can say about the hotel are the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. Other than that, the room was dingy with poor lighting and in overall need of upgrades. The hotel advertised an included breakfast of cereal, waffles and a toast/muffin bar. What was on offer were Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes, Corn Flakes and Raisin Brand (which was empty when we arrived) and waffles. The toast/muffin bar had nothing whatsoever in it. In addition, the breakfast area was poorly lit with several light bulbs not working. The lighting that was working was harsh and unpleasant. I would not recommend this hotel unless nothing else is available.
Run down hotel

We stayed 2 nights at the Radisson's Country Inn & Suites in Athens early late September, 2021. The room was abysmal, dirty stained rugs, stains on the upholstery, lamp shades broken on several lamps. In addition, the rooms were not cleaned adequately between days, with coffee grinds left in the bathroom sink and beds left unmade. At $250 night we expected more. The staff did show us another room, but the condition was similar. We considering finding another hotel except most all the hotels were full due to a local college ball game. We spoke with the General Manager, and she suggested we call our credit card company and dispute the charge if we we're unhappy? Really? That is not an adequate solution for a paying guest. Registered a complaint with Radisson directly, along with the pictures documenting our stay. They are offering 50% off the bill. We do not feel that the 50% refund offer is sufficient for what we experienced and are requesting a full refund. The following is the written words from an email we received from the Radisson's escalation specialist.: ".....If that remains the case, we will document that you have declined the 50% refund offer and we will reopen your case to the hotel manager and ask that they reach out to you to discuss what you feel is appropriate compensation. Please know that any compensation offers from that point on will be from the hotel only." Seriously? We already spoke with the GM at the onset of this issue and got no where. We are a bit shocked at this written response as we feel this is strong arming us into accepting the 50%. We work hard for our money, and do not feel this was a fair exchange of value. Especially at $250 + a night.
Bad Staff Attitudes, Nasty Room, and a RIP OFF on the rate!!

Firstly, we had to pay almost 350.00 for 1 NIGHT! If I hadn't been driving all day, I would have stayed somewhere else... Their normal rate is always under 100.00! The front desk staff was very unhappy with having to work and had zero personality!! The room had white stains on the chair, red and black stains all over the floor, Discolored/Dirty tile in shower, and even smelled musty! We left our clothes on when we went to sleep. The breakfast was pathetic and the front desk personnel had the same attitude as the one at check in !!! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE!! Too bad the hotel management cannot be reached for any help.... Stay at your own risk!! If anyone wants any pics, would be glad to send!!
