Safe haven in time of coronavirus!
Was traveling in Greece with my church group when the coronavirus escalated and we had to skip our hotel due to a person being taken out because of corona virus. We had already booked Hera Hotel in Athens for 2 days later, and they welcomed us 2 days early. The hotel is very nice, extremely clean, and the food is great! They were so welcoming to us also! We all enjoyed the top floor Peacock restaurant which had a view of the Acropolis/Parthenon all lit up in the night! Great job Hera Hotels and all the people that work there!
A Bit of Home in Athens
When the pandemic hit we were stranded in Athens for 5 days. Fortunately, home for us was the Hera Hotel. The hospitality we were shown during this difficult time was above and beyond my expectations. Located near many historical sites including the Acropolis and the Plaka, we were able to safely walk amongst a mixture of historical and modern architecture. Our rooms were nicely decorated and cleaned daily. Our room faced the street and had a small balcony where we could sit and enjoy the sunshine. The meals prepared for us were delicious, with great Mediterranean flavors. But it was the staff that really made the difference for us all. Even during this uncertain time they were friendly and helpful. I would like to give many accolades to Evi, the primary waitress and the staff for their special services to us.
Well Run Boutique Hotel
It would be enough that the room is nice and the breakfast very good. But when you add the attentiveness of the staff and how close this is to the Acropolis and what is going on around it, including transportation, this place can't be beat.
Easy access to the acropolis
We had a three day stay at this amazing hotel. We had a view of the acropolis from our verandah on the fifth floor. The hotel is so good and the staff exceptional. They were so helpful especially when our plans were cancelled Coukd not fault them. Highly recommend this hotel
Within a few 100 metres of the Acropolis Museum
The Hera is a great hotel & we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The best part is the location, which is so close to the Acropolis entrance & the Museum. This also meant that when we went to other areas of Athens, we could always easily find our way back by following the signs for the Museum. We ate in the Hotel & in 3 other restaurants just a bit further up the street, They were all superb.
