More about the hotel
Wouldn’t recommend
I stayed at this hotel for one night, the hotel wasn’t bad as far as the basics go, but I had a terrible experience with customer service. So I was locked out of my room for over half and hour, I was able to get into my room directly after I checked in, but I stepped out to get ice, and when I came back I couldn’t get back in. I called the first desk and they sent the housekeeper up after about 10 minutes, she came up but her key didn’t work either. She then went downstairs and got a whole new key, which didn’t work either, and then she said the batteries were dead. So then we both went down stairs ( I didn’t even have a jacket, and I had reservations for as well that I had to reschedule) the guy at the front desk was very nice about the situation and tried to do what he could. Maintenance is not on site, I had to wait until he came to come change the batteries on my door, all of my things were locked in that room and this was super frustrating. The representative at the desk was very apologetic about the situation and promised that they would refund me some of my payment, due to the inconvenience. The next day I checked out, there was another lady at the front desk, I explained what happened and asked about the refund and she said I would have to call Expedia and have them call the hotel in order to get the refund, which I did the next day. This hotel had the audacity to offer me a 5 dollar refund, I paid 250 for one night. I feel like that was an insult, they might as well not offered me anything at all. 5 dollars off of 250 is nothing not even the taxes.
Titanium member and business entrepreneur
A very bad experience as a Titanium Marriott member in downtown Atlanta Fairfield inn Hotel on 1-1-21 I will never stay there again. Service is horrible, room was hot, humid, smelled like someone before us was smoking and noise of traffic and train outside was unbearable and did not let anyone sleep. But it gets worse- -No parking available/ ended up returning rental car and ubering as a result $$$ -Walked in, bad odors, smell of marijuana, HOT, AC lowered to lowest temperature and blew hot air all stay, all night -Room only had 2 bath towels for 4 guests, asked for an additional 2 upon check in and received 2 floor towels. They said there was a shortage of towels and nothing they could do even if I am a titanium member. I was sweating with the party of 4 relatives with me and in disbelief of what was happening. I was Woken up at 2:30 am and provided 2 bath towels after begging and pleading for hours and a supposed fan that actually was a heater, I said is this a joke? The asst Mgr said at least it blows out air. Was then On the phone with Marriott Bonvoy agents for about 2 hours that couldn’t bring any resolution to my issue. I am very dissatisfied with Marriott customer service and the experience encountered in this roach motel called Fairfield inn Downtown Atlanta. They will never see me again!! Sincerely, one displeased titanium member Ahmed Vélez
Terrible Stay
We stayed here 7 nights while doing business in Atlanta. First of all the location is very undesirable and unsafe. Homeless people everywhere continually bothering us. Second the hotel is not very clean. Marriott should be ashamed to associate their name with this hotel!!! I have never experienced such a terrible Marriott property in my life. I realize they have furloughed some employees but we could get them to provide enough clean towels for us. It was completely rediculous. Front desk personnel is mostly lazy and not accommodating. This is NOT somewhere you want to stay!!!!!!!
My Hart and misses they gkve it to them in
My wife & myself who I might add, have been consistent loyal customers of the Fairfield inn in Down Atlanta for the last few years! The last few times we stayed a new inploye by the name of Desmond has gone out of his way to exert an aggressively arragent and hostle attitude to my obviously pregnant wife and my self, with out provoication! Last time he refused to have the room open so my pregnant wife ×w we our license in order to gain entry to our room when she had absentmindedly left the key in the room! It was about 3:00 am when this happened so for 3 hours she was locked out side with all the unpaying guest and this was after Desmond had chastized with a smerk of absolutely one of the hardest ! This time he got pleasure kicking us out out of the lobby because I had my debit card with me and a slightly marked but legal nortacycle
Outstanding
Even with all that is going on staff made my stay here fantastic. They honored my room request. Room was clean. In a quiet area near a exit so didn't have to go to lobby the leave hotel. Would stay here again
