Great experience in a small town

My husband and I stayed only 1 night, 10/30-10/31. We are frequent visitors to the Fort Wayne area and usually stay at the Tru there. This time we decided to try this new Tru in Auburn. This will be our go-to hotel from now on! We booked online for a VERY reasonable rate. We have stayed in many Tru hotels, so we knew exactly what to expect for accommodations. We were not disappointed in the slightest! We arrived early at the hotel and our digital key was available. We went upstairs and inspected our room on the 2nd floor. It was immaculately clean and all bed linens were pristine. We went to the front desk to get actual plastic key cards since both phones needed to be charged. That's when we met Brian. Brian is the General Manager and he went completely out of his way explaining the area, sights to see and even told us about events in the surrounding area. We appreciated this immensely! Brian made us comfortable and that personal connection made us want to go back. We spent the majority of our time at the hotel in the lobby playing pool (billiards). The lobby was clean, quiet, and the coffee was great! We met both the 3pm-11pm front desk clerk, as well as the overnight clerk. Both were very friendly, welcoming and personable. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and we can't wait to visit again! One thing I will mention, and this is no fault of the hotel, is the disinfecting wipes in the lobby. I used them to clean the table we were using for dinner, and again at the end of the night to sanitize for the next guest. I awoke to palms like sandpaper and a rash on the back of my hands. I have very sensitive skin, so I should've washed my hands immediately afterwards. I would caution anyone who uses these wipes to wash immediately afterwards and not to let children use them!

I was pleasantly surprised at the euro look of the room. Great shower. The room size was perfect. The mini bar downstairs was a nice touch. The staff was wonderful. The breakfast was pretty good. I would book again.
Nice addition to the Auburn choices for hotels

Nestled behind a furniture store, Tru offered nice, quiet accommodations. Staff was very friendly and helpful - and we enjoyed the "modern" feel and atmosphere of the hotel. Parking close to all rooms - and easy to load and unload.
Wedding party stay

We just stayed for the night after our daughter’s wedding, really wanted a cup of coffee after a late night but had to get dressed and go down to lobby as there were no coffee makers in room. A bit expensive for area but room was nice as was the hotel
Breakfast tasted horribly. The bagels came in a bag and they were out of a lot of items.

Breakfast was just horrible. The staff was standing around even though they were out of orange juice, bagels, cream cheese, eggs, sausage and the pancake machine was not working. Even when we first got there we had to wait 10 minutes for someone to help us check in.
