Better than expected and reasonably good value

Budget... yes often budget hotels show their true colours within seconds after arriving at the hotel room. However this one bucked the trend and we had a very spotless clean room with a nice sized bathroom. I could not have wished for more regarding the amount that I paid for the room. I loved the down-lighting effect in the room as it gave off a lovely ambiance. The staff were very helpful and gave us tips of where to have dinner and there was a supermarket virtually next door if you just wanted to grab a few snacks and wine. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable. We left feeling most refreshed and grateful.

Terrible attention
Opinión escrita el 28 de julio de 2020
It was terrible when I found out that we had to prepare on our own the upper bed, the 3rd bed. They had the blankets and towels ready for us and they told us we had to do it ourselves. It is the first time in a hotel where the customer should prepare the bed for himself. They said it was the policy in Ibis Budget France but I really don't care. I don't care if it's the policy for Ibis Budget, for France or for Ibis Budget France: noone who goes to a hotel would assume that you had to prepare your own bed. It's like going to a restaurant and having to make your own dinner. Unbelievable!! And even if it was the policy of the hotel I would have appreciated a bit of concern of the lady who attended me or the manager. Just a little of "I understand you, customer, I agree... But my hands are tied and I cannot do anything. I'm so sorry" and not just "It's policy... It's policy...". And also there was a power outlet that felt out of the wall, and that, having a little kid, was a bit dangerous, AND THEY DIDN'T CARE!! I have been plenty of times to a Premiere Classe in the same town and, although it's a 1* hotel and this was a 2* hotel it was very much better. It was my first time in a Ibis Budget in France and it will be the last one and I'll make sure to tell everyone not to go to a Ibis Budget hotel, at least in France.

Dirty and smelly
Opinión escrita el 19 de julio de 2018
I’ve stayed in several Ibis Budget (and Etap) hotels during travels in Europe but I must say this was one of the worst experiences. Some of the hotels are nice and clean but this one was the total opposite. Oil stains on the sheets, a lot of hair left in the bathroom and the hotel smelled like stinking arm pits. A bit surprised that Ibis hasn’t better control of the hotels.
