Very disappointed

Reviewed 12 september, 2021

Old rooms , sink was blocked no one cares. Dust everywhere. Swim pool is overloaded with chlorine. No body wash liquid just empty bottles instead. Very disappointing experience. Very pity this hotel wasn’t what we expected. Room was cleaned only after we complained

Wonderful hot baths, though the bed was a bit hard

Reviewed 12 september, 2021

This is a classic old Victorian hotel that has been newly renovated--mostly. The mineral baths are well up to the German standard--though for foreigners, be aware there will likely be nude sunbathers on the sun decks upstairs by the sauna. The views of the forest from the pool are terrific. There is so much to like, really just one issue--our bed was so hard, that it gave us backaches: "What the soothing mineral baths giveth, the hard bed taketh away!" Perhaps some people like a hard bed, but it was a killer for us. The restaurant was fine--some really creative starters and a good wine list, but the main courses were not especially creative. We found the staff to be quite friendly and helpful, even though they had to speak English with us.

Such a nightmare, NEVER AGAIN!

Reviewed 15 august, 2021

Such a shame. The location would be beautiful but there is clearly a huge problem of management. Very, very rude service at the reception - I could write several stories about how one of the staff (badly) treats the client. Room on the street, view on the noisy cars, dirt under the bed and holes in the blankets, (all!) bedsheets and bathrobes, mold on the shower door. When we asked for housekeeping, we got the reply that they come only once every 3 days!! The location, the Spa would be so beautiful - it’s shame for the quality. Think twice before reserve a room here!!

Great wellness hotel

Reviewed 17 october, 2020

My ten-year-old daughter and I spent two wonderful nights here. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. The grounds are beautiful and there's lots to do in the area. We absolutely LOVED the pools, jacuzzi etc. The small hot pool was a real highlight. The pools were never crowded, but the number of people in the jacuzzi and hot pool were limited due to corona and we usually had to wait a while to get into them. The only aspect of the hotel that was desperately in need of improvement was the breakfast experience. A hotel that I had visited the week before our stay in Bad Teinach had the very sensible solution of having guests select a time to have breakfast the night before. This avoided overcrowding and long wait times. Unfortunately, this hotel didn't have any system like this in place and we had to wait for about 15 minutes each day to get in the breakfast area. On our first day we were put in a small side room without adequate ventilation and two distanced tables of people who spent most of their time calling to each other across the room. The breakfast was OK. When we asked the server if the eggs were hard-boiled, she replied "Ich denke schon!" They turned out to be so soft they were practically raw. This led to food wastage, since we don't eat soft eggs. This is bad for the environment and, of course, for the hotel's finances. Besides the breakfast experience we loved everything about the hotel and would definitely like to return.

All in allA good place

The views are amazing. And if you have time you definitely need to go have a walk in the forest. The room that we had was nice and mostly on the modern side. A thing that we didn’t knew was that if you pick the street side it gets loud in the early morning so keep in mind the position when choosing a room. The staff is so and so. Some are really nice and helpful. Others they look at you like you interrupted their conversation when it got interesting. The breakfast was delicious. You have so many things to choose from! I loved the omelette and the fresh fruits. The spa area has some gems as well: the outside swimming pool that has warm water in the cold evenings and mornings. The sauna(naked sauna) is a separate wooden house that and has a lot of space a really big swimming pool inside(the water is colder but still pleasant) One big minus for this area is the smell of piss coming from the bathrooms and the towels and bathrobes that smell like vinegar! I personally don’t like smelling like a salad. All in all it’s a good place to have a relaxing holiday.
