Very nice family hotel
The hotel is run by a family,and it is a very pleasant place. Nice big rooms, the breakfast is very good as well. Good stay. It is just some minutes walk from the "city center". It is very calm no noise at all.
A very pleasant place to stay
We have stayed in this hotel a few time over the years, and like it very much. The Mundes are very friendly and efficient, and the hotel is comfortable and attractive... Our room was very warm, and had a beautiful view over the mountains on two sides. Moreover, the paintwork seemed to have been redone very recently, and the carpet was new. Also, there were nice touches like colorful striped towels - so much more welcoming and homely than the usual white. Breakfast was very varied and generous... The baths and Bergbahn are within very easy walking distance... I definitely recommend this hotel.
not bad
dated family run hotel near town centre. Very clean hotel, apartment provided an extra room with tv large balcony for sunning easy access to sauna spa a few minutes walk away and a few minutes further to vital thermal spa. Swabian region of Germany : not necessarily innately friendly especially to non natives and foreigners. A new above the forest walkway and lookout spiral wooden construction at the Sonnenberg is a special attraction. Breakfast was adequate but fruit salad from tins and no coissants every good European breakfast provides coissants! Off season deals cheap. Family run hotel..reserved ( innate to the region) but willing. Construction close by caused some early morning noise but that is temporary. Traffic one way streets makes major difficulty in finding hotel... parking very limited near hotel.. no luxury b&b but cheap and clean and owner is helpful in providing info.
Nice family run hotel
Located in scenic Wildbad im Schwarzwald, in a short walking distance from tram station and Sommerbetg funicular. Clean, comfortable, quiet. Staff was friendly, breakfast is ok, sauna worked just for 2 of us. Nice place to stay
Friendly family run hotel
We arrived in town early enough to leave plenty of time to grab a quick lunch before walking to Palais Thermal for the day. Bad Wildbad is a difficult town to negotiate for a first time visitor that does not speak German. Fortunately, as we drove up to the front of the hotel, a parking space opened up. After quickly parking, we walked in to ask if we could check-in early and inquired about parking our rental car overnight. This is a family run hotel. They immediately told us not to worry. Although we were in a two-hour parking zone, they said they would monitor the parking time for our car during our stay. We were quickly checked into our room including assistance with our baggage. Before we realized it, we were on our way to the baths for the afternoon with instructions on how to exit through the lovely garden on the lowest level of the hotel for quick access to the main pedestrian walk that led directly to Palais Thermal. The hotel itself is very clean and our room was fully satisfactory. We took our time enjoying the included breakfast buffet in the main dining room before departing the next morning. If we are able to return again to Bad Wildbad, we will not even consider another hotel. When the family running the hotel shows this much consideration for a first time guest that speaks little German, we know that we are in good hands.
