Nice and convenient stay

Very convenient for those traveling with pets. Staff is great, smooth check in and out. Has plenty of space for pet relief area. Quiet at night. The only thing is the public area cleanliness, some stains on carpet and elevator, which could be due to it's pet-friendly policy. I'm ok with that since I'm a pet owner myself though.

Room was not in good repair - very worn looking. Only bright spot was our initial greeting at front desk by Brittany. Then it went downhill from there. Breakfast was a joke - no food and too many people who immediate grabbed whatever came out. We gave up and went and got our own food to eat for breakfast. Noisy room - we could hear neighbors partying across the hall and next door late at night. Toilet paper roll holder broke and one of the bathroom plugs didn’t work. Horrible scratchy small towels. This La Quinta is NOT up to the standards of other La Quinta properties. I’m hoping that takeover by Wyndam is not how the direction of this chain hotel is going!
They don’t even provide a paper cup in your room!

Overall this hotel is clean and decent. We did not appreciate the smell of chlorine or cleaning chemicals entering the hotel. When we opened our room door there was a distinct smell of unpleasant body odor. To my surprise there was no cup in the room of any type. I’ve never stayed in any hotel anywhere that didn’t supply even a paper cup. Called down to the desk and they reported that management no longer provided cups due to Covid-19. But if you come down to the first floor near the elevator there are cups by the coffee pots. I’m thinking ok, due to covid no cups in the room so come down stairs for a cup and less Covid exposure? What a crock. I’m paying twice what a cheap hotel charges and they don’t provide a paper cup in the room???
A mixed bag

The pluses: convenient to the freeway and the airport; friendly staff, clean room; hot breakfast; coffee in lobby The minuses: road noise!; spotty internet, malfunctioning TV; lack of TV channel listing; lumpy couch cushion.
Good Location Terrible Room

I stayed at this La Quinta for the location, and ample parking. Staff was friendly and advised me on the best place to park that would be on camera. Also pet friendly is a plus for me. When I got into the room I almost didn't stay the night, and really wish I didn't. This was a double Full Bed room on the third floor, with laminate flooring, unlike the rooms in the photos. There were small pieces of trash on the floor, two cockroaches on the TV counter, and a sticky substance on the nightstand. The bathroom was also bad, the counter wasn't thoroughly cleaned, the tub was old and rusty, the sink wasn't properly attached to the counter and visibly falling in, also a used towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. When I stepped on certain tiles in the bathroom water oozed from under them, something was leaking because it was like that even in the morning. When I got into bed, my feet were so dirty from walking on their floor, clearly never mopped, just swept. The bed was CLEAN, this was the only saving grace. It was loud at night, which I expect at a Motel. I was only disappointed with the clearly unclean room during a time at which they boast high cleaning standards.
