We stayed here as a group of friends for a catch up and the location couldn’t have been more perfect. The self catered cottages were the perfect base and meant that we could all spend the evenings together while the babies were in bed. The rooms were spacious, clean and warm and the kitchen was perfect and they even provided some pancakes/snacks. We had initially rented 3 cottages but when a number of of our party were unable to attend last minute due to illness and we only needed 2 they gave us the 3rd cottage anyway without charge. The spa facilities were excellent and such good value. We all had a combination of massages/facials and all thoroughly enjoyed these and felt very relaxed afterwards. They also gave you the full time that you have paid for unlike some spas and it didn’t feel rushed. You then had use of the spa facilities for the duration of the stay and the staff could not have been more accommodating letting us bring the small babies in to enjoy the pool - which amazingly we had completely to ourselves until 8pm on the night of our arrival. We had breakfast and afternoon tea in tea room on site and both were delicious. The afternoon tea in particular was a great experience with the staff going out of their way to make sure we got our dietary preferences and the portions were very generous. We happened to bump into the owner (who was very friendly) and hear the plans for the future of this place including hopefully a hot tub and pizzeria as well as some activities for slightly older children - so we cannot wait to come back.
Always a lovely experience

Had lunch here again today with my mum. From you arrive until you leave you are really looked after. Debbie is the perfect host, nothing is any bother and she is so friendly and kind. Food was delicious as always and so we'll presented. I had the Moroccan salad which I keep going back for time and time again. Finished off by coffee and tray-bakes. Booked to go again in a couple of weeks with a friend for spa treatments and lunch. Always a treat. Thank you.
Delightful spa day

We hoped to stay 2 nights but left after one very bad nights sleep. There were too many issues at the cottage too: -Freezer door missing in fridge meant that no frozen food that we bought stayed frozen. -Light out in kitchen (this on its own was not an issue) -Plug missing in bath -Bath taps very wobbly/ not fitting -Shower hose tarnished and discoloured black -Sealent broken around bath -Unfortunate to get the one cottage with an upstairs cottage too and whole family was woken up by people upstairs returning at 12 midnight and walking about for two hours (very creaky ceiling) -Asthma flared up with the dusty/animal atmosphere - sticky vinal floor - Spa pool looked nice but we only viewed it and were asked to keep the noise if we used it as treatments would be going on (maybe its just me but if you are promoting the pool for children then the level of noise should be allowed?) I can't fault our receptionist as she did try to help.

We booked the cottages to celebrate a 50th birthday. We had a brilliant weekend from start to finish. The cottages were lovely. They are very well appointed, spotlessly clean with comfy beds. There was a great outdoor patio area with picnic tables. We booked some treatments which were just pure bliss. The pool was lovely. We had breakfast in the tea rooms the food was great and it was really interesting to see pictures of the cottages before they were renovated. All the staff were lovely - very friendly and helpful. All in all our stay was a pleasure.
