Expectations Exceeded
The Hotel Revival was the best hotel experience that I've had in years! Because of flight delays, I arrived for check-in around midnight. The first thing you notice is the security. I had to ring the bell unless I had a room key card entry. That immediately made me feel comfortable with the atmosphere of the hotel from a safety perspective. Then, I was welcomed by Adia with a greeting and a smile. She gave me a brief overview of the hotel and encouraged me to download the Hyatt app. Opening the door to the room, the decor stood out immediately. From the Shakespeare novel, to the comic books, to the art on the wall. The attention to detail in decorating was phenomenal. When making reservations, try to get a room with a view. My room was on the 6th floor and my view was gorgeous. The bed and the pillows were super comfortable. I slept very well. From the staff , to the room and everything in between, the hotel revival exceeded all of my expectations!!
Great stay!
We stayed at Hotel Revival this past weekend! The staff was super friendly and helpful. This retro designed hotel located in the classic Mount Vernon area, is right near a small park and pet friendly. The room was very clean, quiet and very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again.
Hotel with character!
Overall, I had a great stay here. The hotel is well decorated and furnished and I really appreciated the character and style of the hotel, definitely unlike most hotels that I have stayed at previously. The rooms were clean and modern and I was lucky enough to get a room with a beautiful view of the Washington memorial. The restaurant was a bit over priced, but the views were worth it and the food was pretty terrific as well. There was a slight hiccup when i first arrived (albeit late around 10pm) , the front door was locked and needed to be opened from front desk which was temporarily unmanned. This left me and my girlfriend standing outside for ~10 mins wondering if we had to book another hotel to stay at. However, other than that the stay was enjoyable and I would definitely stay again. There is no parking with the hotel. However, I used spothero to find a decently priced parking space nearby (10 min walk) Thanks!
A lovely hotel
The hotel is located in a great, walkable part of town. There was no valet parking (COVID), but they had a private garage available - a few blocks up the street. The hotel staff was attentive, the room was cozy, but the bathroom made the room. Crisp, clean, and modern. I feel I have to mention the tiny elevator- I found it quirky, in the time of social distancing. Baltimore was open for business and we walked everywhere. Sagamore is a must see and the local restaurants are amazing.
Top 3 hotels in Baltimore
*Stayed During COVID* This is one of my favorite hotels in Baltimore that I've stayed in, along with the Indigo which is a few blocks away. The rooms are fun and decorated in a cool way that stands out. The staff was very nice also and helpful in answering questions. They didn't have a razor, but I'm not sure if that's on them or the Rona. One of the strange things about staying in hotels during COVID is that many of the reasons you are reading reviews like this one are to determine where to stay, and the reality is that for the most part, location is now the new determining factor. I mean the rooftop bar, Topside, is amazing, but it's closed. There's karaoke on the ground floor, but that's closed. So you tend to look at stays differently. The only hiccup was that I wanted to order room service later in the evening, and you access the menu on the TV, Problem was that my TV wouldn't show it, so they printed up a menu and dropped it off. The edamame hummus was quite good, but I wish they could sell beer past 8PM. I'll stay here again, regardless, but hopefully the hotel is more like itself then.
