Lovely stay @ Plern Prai Raft House

Reviewed 6 july, 2020

Super nice and highly recommend this raft house. The staff is super kind and helpful, they really made our trip (14 people) absolutely memorable. The food was great, super tasty and they kept on coming back to offer us more with no extra charges. The only thing they could improve around the food is breakfast, maybe have a buffet instead with different options like fried rice, egg station, pancakes, Thai food, cereals and let people serve themselves. We had access to rubber rings to lounge in the lake, plenty of choices of drinks and snacks available as well. A really nice setting overall! The rooms were a bit small and might need a tiny bit of maintenance, maybe would be nice to add curtains on the windows but otherwise OK. A must Go!

This place is fantastic. We visiting as a group of 14 in July 2020 and every moment was brilliant. The staff were attentive and friendly when we needed them to be, but they also just left us to relax and have fun when we wanted that too. Highlights were: - rubber rings to float in the lake for hours in end. - three seater kayaks. - delicious Thai food, and even better, every time we wanted any more the staff were so happy and willing to give it. - incredible views in a very quiet part of the lake. - bungalows spread out so that you all get a little part of the lake to yourself. - a first aid room (we needed this for a wasp sting) - friendly happy and helpful staff. - a cheeky but lovely dog who is gorgeous! - a large area to dine in and then a lovely grassy area to relax in during the evening's. Points to suggest to make it even better. - more comfy seats to relax in during the evening's. We were happy to carry pillows and the rubber rings up to the grassy area but some bean bags would be good too 🙂 If you want a peaceful, fun, beautiful place to stay then I recommend this basic but clean and comfy place! You must go! -

Peaceful getaway with beautiful views

We stayed here as a group of friends for two nights. The service was great and all staff were very helpful. Thai food was served for lunch and dinner and was delicious, for breakfast we were served more western style food, but didn't feel this was as good as other meals. It was great to have free self service tea and coffee throughout the day. The rooms and facilities were quite basic, but good. There we rubber rings and kayaks available to use for free, just had to pay a deposit for the oars. It's the first time I had visited Khao Sok National Park, the location and views were brilliant! I'd definitely come back and recommend family and friends to stay here in the future.

Great location.

Plean Prai Raft House sits in a scenic little corner of Cheow Larn Lake and is a great stepping off point for hiking or enjoying kayaking and swimming. The water is clean and surprisingly warm to swim in considering the size and depth of the lake. Facilities are basic but clean and the food provided is really good quality. A beautiful and relaxing spot to spend some time

Backpackers Paradise

Honestly, we haven’t even finished our 3 week trip in Thailand, but I can already say this will be in my top three. Our tour guide, Fluke, was attentive, friendly and accommodating. Between the lady at the front desk and Fluke, we felt very welcome. The overnight stay is the exactly how they explain it. We toured the lake, went on a nature hike, and visited a cave. When we reached the floating bungalows, we discovered that the food was unreal and plentiful; the rooms were comfortable; the water is teal blue which was great for swimming/kayaking; the boat took us to many different places, we even got to see wild elephants; and it was a quiet, relaxing stay. To be honest, I wish we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend this company, as they take smaller groups out and are very attentive.
