Magical Mountain Memories

We returned to the Rimrock after a long hiatus and we were not disappointed! The majestic views from almost every room in the hotel are always breathtaking. The hotel has done a magnificent job of keeping up the indoor ambience to match nature's outdoor setting. Upon entering the lobby you are greeted by very helpful staff and the Christmas decorating is top-notch! The lobby lounge provides a light menu and libations while drinking in the view and cozying up to the LARGE fireplace. If you want to shop and walk around the quaint town of Banff, the Rimrock provides free bus tickets to and from the townsite. The bus stops conveniently in front of the hotel. This allows your vehicle to remain warm and safe in the underground parking. The room had a fresh, clean fragrance and was very comfortable. We had a King room with a mountain view. 2 large leather chairs (which we knew were cleaned as opposed to fabric) made relaxing with our cocktails even more enjoyable. The furniture is showing wear but were told they will likely be updating soon. The Primrose dining room is awesome and if you are there on a Wednesday for pasta night you will be in for a real treat. Make sure to get your reservations in early! The staff are very friendly and helpful. We will be back! Loved the RIMROCK!!!

My husband and I just spent 3 nights celebrating our anniversary at the Rimrock Hotel in Banff. My my my!!! What a great hotel this is. Our experience was beyond amazing... And trust me when I say that because I have been to the best Caribbean, Mexican, US hotels and I work in the industry as a Travel Agent ... Never thought that such a unique experience was available in Alberta Canada. Best dining at the Eden 5 star restaurant.... A must Try! Rooms spotless. The best part of our experience was the amazing staff. From the moment we arrived they never failed to impress.. And their service just got better and better.. When you Remember the names of so many team members because they make every touchpoint of your stay so memorable... You know you onto something great!. THANK YOU RIMROCK for shinning light on service par excellence!!. See you again for my next Banff getaway

Nice location with lovely views. The lobby is on the 7th floor which I think staff should explain during check in as I am not the first person who stood in the elevator pushing floor 1 and have the elevator not move. So floor one is restricted for staff accommodation. Who knew? The food for the conference / meeting I was at was excellent. Great variety of healthy foods with gluten-free and vegan options.
Great Hotel, Friendly Staff

This was our second time staying at this hotel. I absolutely love this property. Beautiful view, clean hotel rooms, and friendly staff. We had almost a perfect stay this time, everyone was super friendly and accomodating. I wish I remembered everyone's names but I would like to name a few that I made sure to memorize - server Nick from Australia at the lounge definitely made our visit very special, we had some good laughs and good service. Thank you, Nick!! Eddine Rebault at the valet made sure our car was warm and had bottled water for all of us in a car. Your beautiful smile and attitude made us want to come back to this hotel again. The hostess at the Primrose restaurant that just recently arrived from Lithvenia was also very friendly and fun. We will be coming back in January again! The only hick-up we had was the water wasn't draining properly in a bathtub but it was fixed as soon as we mentioned it to the front desk person.
Worst customer service ever!!!!

Ok. I reserved online from your lobby. Asked for the key to see the room. I was told your hotel had the best views. You gave me a view of some trees and no mountains what so ever at 1000 dollars for 2 days. When I said that was unacceptable. No one tried to resolve the issues. So I said I was canceling the reservation. As I hadn't even stepped foot into the room. The reservation was placed 14 minutes prior. You told me you would keep the money. Sorry 500 a day without a view. That's why people go to banff. That's why people choose your hotel. One of the best views in town. You didn't offer it to me. When you refused to give me back my money I had no choice but to stay. The second option room had a much nicer view. But I have to question why you didn't give me that view as the two of them were the same price and I was complaining of no view. We could of resolved this in minutes. After that the room you placed me in had dogs above me. I heard them running back and fourth all night. The adults were screaming as if watching a foot ball game when the local team scored a goal. I made a complaint. After 4 hours of hearing non stop running and screaming. The noise never subsided. You stole my money. And you refused to be professional. I have stayed at motel 8s that I have given a better review too. Your hotel staff made my holidays suck. Your customer service blew. Your thieft tactics were a disgrace. Anyone looking to pay 1000 dollars be disrespected abd robbed.... this is the place to be. For anyone that wants a hotel with a view and to be treated as a paying client.... stay away. I am not a cheap man..I drove across country. Spent over 10000 dollars to get to the hotel. To have a view. To have an experience. When I told them I was feeling defeated they did nothing. Till I was raising my voice infeont of the guest. Asking why they were stealing my money.
