Holiday turned terrible
Supposed to be 2 bathrooms for 2 couples (only ONE) 😩😩😩Looking forward to swimming from the Booking.com ad but NO you can’t use the pool cos you don’t reside in the building permanently (WHY ADVERTISE A POOL THEN)..... When we arrived there was a CRAPPY old broken chair that we wondered WHY it would be there cos you can’t sit on it..... We found out WHY, when you check out they CHARGE you for the BROKEN CHAIR that you didn’t sit on...But they wouldn’t refund the deposit before we left for Dubai cos they were TOO BUSY. We will fight to get the money refunded. Don’t bother with this So Called LUXURY apartment
EASTER 2019
We stayed in one of the Midtown Luxury Apartments for a holiday break during Easter/April 2019. It was a brilliant location, very central. The apartment was ok, nothing outstanding and certainly not worth the money. The kitchen lacked certain basic equipment, eg 4 coffee mugs. Even one would have been a start never mind 4!!!!! and the freezer was so old and beat up that the broken drawers would not open. The window blind in the kitchen needed to be permanently pulled as it looked directly into the next apartment, this made the kitchen very dark. On the surface the apartment was clean but you didn't have to look too far to realise that it needed a good deep clean. The bed sheets were disguisting!!!!!!!!!!!, they 100% had not been changed prior to our arrival! Sorry but I could not honestly recommend these apartments!
Very nice
We had a nice apartment, chosen for the terrace outside. I was expecting it to look over the street but was pleasantly surprised when it looked over the square at the back. The main bedroom was nice. The kitchen is not fitted out for self catering - although there are all of the main items, there were a few key implements missing to cook properly. The air con seemed to work in the main room but in the bedrooms at the back wasn't, and the noise does seem to carry up the interior. Overall it was reasonable value for money but not outstanding.
BEWARE: We are £5000 out of pocket after booking here. Avoid!
We were due to stay in these apartments during Mobile World Congress in February 2020. The only way we could reserve was to pay £5000 upfront (this is the cost for two apartments for four days) Our plans have changed and we will no longer be attending. The hotel will easily be able to re-sell these rooms as Mobile World Congress is so popular. However, they have refused to refund the amount if we cancel. There is no compromise. They have offered to cancel but will not refund the money. Beware if you book here.
