Lovely!

We had a lovely one night stay in a nice, spacious room. The building was beautiful and the staff were lovely although they spoke very little English. The food at the restaurant was very nice and their outdoor garden terrace was such a nice place to have a glass of wine. Wonderful breakfast!

Great location

We stayed here for the first night of our walking holiday in the region. Although we speak no Spanish and the owners virtually no English, we were truly welcomed here. The room was full of rustic charm, but was comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed the evening meal and the generous breakfast.

Amazing place

This place deserves 6 stars: picturesque village and surroundings, the house is beautifully well-kept with gardens, lounge, fireplace, dining area, small kitchen area for guests to make tea & coffee, wonderful breakfasts (try the txistorra sausages & eggs when they ask you), amazing dinner so you don’t need to worry about dining out if you don’t want to drive and the best thing about the place are the hosts: Merche and Julian are the loveliest people you’ll ever meet!

Just wonderful

This is a superb place. It has the most stunning views and walks from the back garden , over the valley. But this particular guest house is infused with the gentle helpful spirit of its owners. The rooms are a good size and thoughtfully laid out. We brought a travel kette and by the second day there was a mat to put it on on the table in our room. Beds were comfortable, the interior was cool when the weather turned hot and was warm when it was cold. There is a full kitchen for use by guests for casual lunches, picnics etc. But every night we ate the excellent plain Basque cooking of Mertxe , which we selected earlier in the day, Despite a huge selection of deserts, we ate her Flan de queso again and again it was so good. We were wonderfully looked after by Julian every mealtime. The surrounding countryside is simply stunning and we were helped to find walks and restaurants. We stayed six days and we could have easily stayed ten.

For body and soul

Our best stay in our 14 day road trip to northern Spain. Countryside, peaceful and calm with magnificent surroundings. Rolling hills, grazing cows, mules, horses. People tending to ordinary rural life and the bread man going about his deliveries with a smile and a nod. A tiny village with the calmness today's stressed out people need. Walking the streets in the early morning makes your soul soar. Excellent personnel, humorous and helpful. Rustic furniture, neat and exquisite in every detail. You feel like family. There is even a part with a small library and soft sofas. When eating your meals you have the wonderful little garden through the window, with a water basin, flowers and the green hills.
