The staff was very welcoming, and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and there was a variety offered. The location was perfect for my trip, only about 15 minutes away from Parris Island. I absolutely loved the peaceful view.

Not a typical Hampton experince

I was not impressed with this Hampton other than the area in which it was located. Our air did not work properly, faucet in bathroom cheap and did not fit properly, and room was clean. Both under the television and air filter in air unit was filthy. Service at front desk was rude. Ice machine only worked on 3rd floor. Breakfast and the outdoor seating were the only two good things about this place. Hampton Inn's are usually much nicer than this. Disappointed.

The views of the marsh are lovely, best is on the side of the hotel furthest from the entrance and on the 2nd floor, even better from the benches out in front, esp sunrise and sunset. Set back from road noise and close to services, just a few mins to downtown Beaufort. Room was clean, quiet, unremarkable, as was breakfast.

We stayed 2 days for a marine recruit's graduation. Rest of the family stayed at the Tru up Rt 21; should have stayed with them. This location is dated. An update was attempted; but was not successful. Wear and tear is evident; the room had at least one non-working outlet (had to move dresser to get to plug). Staff at breakfast was rude and unhelpful. Person didn't check for food quantity - expected to be told food was needed. Towels were not available for most of stay. Had to get up early for graduation and were told towels would not be available until later that morning. Overall not up to Hampton Inn standards. Won't be staying here agian.

All Good Except.....

We reserved a King Room for two nights. We arrived between 4:00 and 4:30 (check-in started at 3:00) and were told there were no more King rooms available. We were told that the hotel was booked. We found it quite hard to believe that an hour after check-in opened, they had no King rooms, even though we had reserved one. The hotel never did appear to be booked and the next night, the hotel certainly was not close to being full, so not sure why we were bumped down. Also with no price change. We were not offered any incentive to stay there, but we did anyway. When we got to the room and looked out the window, the room overlooked the roof above the drive. In other words, to look outside, you had to bend over to look through a sliver of glass to see outside. Made the room very dark even on a sunny day, It was also the first room next to the elevator. So, even though we had reservations, we were obviously given the worst room in the hotel....again only an hour after check-in started. Other than that, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was good. The towels were inconsistently fluffy or thin.
