Out of the Way and Beautiful
Reviewed 3 february, 2019
After only a four night stay both my girlfriend and I are hoping that we can stay here again next time we plan on spending a significant amount of time in and around Yellowstone. If you don't mind a reasonable amount of travel to get into the park and want to avoid the inflated prices associated with staying inside of Yellowstone itself, this is definitely a place to consider. It's a bit out of the way, but the privacy and peace are well worth the journey.
My kind of place !

This isn't the Ritz !!!! If you are expecting a blow dryer and coffee maker in the room this is not for you. This is a lovely place, rustic ! Not close to shopping or restaurants but is close to a cattle feed lot! You are in ranch country, not the city ! Clean rooms, nice shower, plenty of towels, huge community kitchen. Make your own meal, make coffee. Very cool. Girls there helpful, throw the ball for the resident dog. Hot tub. Enjoy the quiet and basic accommodations. I will go back.

I was looking for a place to just relax for Labor Day Weekend. Well this was it. I was the only guest which was fine with me. Had full use of the kitchen. My room was small and comfortable. It's not a 5 start hotel if that is what you are looking for. It is an older facility but everything was clean. To me it was Montana lodging. Quiet, awesome views and just relaxing. My door was marked with my name and a welcome. Key in the door just shows how honest people are here. It was very refreshing. Heather stopped my to say hi, she is a delight and I wish them well in their adventure in getting this place back to where it once was. It would be an awesome place for a family function or wedding. I would stay here again.

I'll start by saying that this is not a posh hotel, but a ranch. And it's beautiful! It is out of the way and you go down a gravel road to get to it, but it is worth the trek. The views are amazing, it is serene, and the hospitality feels homey, instead of commercial. We arrived later in the day, were greeted warmly on a first name basis, and given a personal tour of the property. You won't see marble bathrooms and some may have trouble connecting to the outside world with all of their electronics due to signal strength (we had no trouble) but you are in MONTANA...put your phone down and look around at your surroundings! We had plenty of necessary amenities and a clean, comfortable room. We even had our room upgraded to a larger room simply because it was available and they thought it would be nicer for us. There was a hot tub to use, and a really nice communal area with a full kitchen and large dining space. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch at night and were joined by a friendly cat. Really glad we booked this place and not a run of the mill hotel.

To be honest, I chose this place directly off a poor TA review, I thought what a winger, and so glad I did. What an awesome place out in the middle of a huge ranch, paddocks in all directions, with mountains as the backdrop, even had a tinge of snow left. On arrival there was a note advising our room details, my name was on the 2 rooms we'd booked. The honesty was refreshing. I'd previously phoned and asked about a bbq, was told there was one or we could use the kitchen. And what a kitchen. This place would be perfect for a work function or wedding. As it was we were the only guests for the night. Tanya came out and caught up with us and joined us for a drink (or 2) on the verandah, what a nice person. One of our best nights in 9 weeks. We had requested rooms opening out on the verandah as opposed to opening into the living area, which is what we got. Nice big rooms, comfy bed, all the mod cons....even toilet paper. The best thing was the location, peaceful as, only visitor being a cat that wondered in while we were playing board games after dinner. Our biggest issue was ensuring the cat left when we went to bed! Highly recommended.
