What a nice little hotel. Very friendly, efficient, multi-lingual reception. Pleasant room and bathroom. No frills, but clean and inviting. The twin room was quiet. Parking space next to the hotel, but you have to make sure to reserve ahead. -- The restaurant is interesting. They try to be different, sometimes successfully, sometimes not so. But still, a welcome variation on the ordinary. The restaurant is rather sober in terms of decor and on the expensive side. The hotel is Swiss 4 star norm. Nice breakfast buffet. -- We would return if ever in the region again.
5* for the Hotel, excluding restaurant

As previous reviewers said, parking is a problem at the hotel, but in fact, as long as you don't intend to leave your car there during the day, it is even better to park in the nearby (the whole square has plenty) street parking lots. It is basically free between 7:00 PM and 8:00 AM otherwise it is 1 chf / h. Hotel parking is 10 chf / day so you do the math. We ended up paying 3.50 chf over our 2 nights stay there, and parked literally 30 seconds walk outside the hotel premises. Now back to the hotel, very decent, we got 2 different rooms for us, both clean and comfortable, nice new bathrooms (weirdly enough no toilette brush - but this was really the only - ). Personnel very accommodating and ready to help. Beds are very comfortable, giving you a good night rest after touring the region. A very nice touch was the free drink at arrival (can be any cocktail beer or glass of wine), and a small local product at departure. The breakfast is not included by default, 18 chf/ person, I think based on other hotels and the fact that the breakfast is really above average as a matter of taste and variety, it might be worth it. The dinner on the contrary, I found way to expensive and small as portion. Got that it is a gourmet restaurant, and portions are small, but still, for the location and offer, I think it is too much. We did not order the 5 course full options (80 EUR / person) but chose an entry and a main dish + 2 of us 4 had desserts. Our youngest in fact only had a pasta Bolognese which was the only decent size meal at the table. Add a bottle of wine (40-45 chf) and we ended up at 260 chf and still hungry. As I said, I only rated the hotel, but thought putting this comment about having dinner there. You do need a reservation as well.
Very good hotel

The hotel was quiet a surprise, big room, comfortable bed, good location, very friendly stuff. Luckily we got the last parking space, otherwise it can be a bit complicated. Very positive that dogs are allowed, they even put the dog bed and a bowl, very appreciated. Would return.
Wondering where are the 4 stars of this boutique hotel...

The bedroom was not well cleaned : there was dog food on floor during all our stay (even if we don't have pets). We asked for vacuuming the room, and the dirty places kept being dirty. We even had two 'visitors': two cockroaches in two days!!! The pillows were not good. The walls' papers were ripped in some places. In the bathroom you will find a hair & body product attached to the wall, but if you need a conditioner or body milk (the minimum you expect in a 4 star hotel), you ask at the reception and they don't have it. The breakfast was ok, nothing exceptional, missing good local products. The dinner was not good: we order fish soup and pasta and not even 5 minutes later we had all the plates in front of us, which felt like have been warmed and not done in the moment as expected. The positive points were : reception staff, breakfast employees and cleaning ladies were very kind. We asked for some slippers and they managed to find them. Our room was big, good for a family of three. Complementary water in the room. Quite room facing the mountains. Good wifi!

We were visiting the Bellanzona region and this was a very comfortable and convenient location being situated on the Piazza Grande in Giubiasco only a short (10 minute) free bus ride from Bellanzona. Modern fittings in every sense - although surprisingly not tea/coffee making service in the rooms. And the service and advice at the Reception was professional and very friendly. As noted in other Reviews, it is definitely worth dining in their restaurant at least once; one highlight was the prepared-at the table - steak tartare. Based on other reviews we also ensured a parking space at the hotel by booking in advance; that was very useful. Overall a good place to base ourselves for discovering the region and we would return there again.
