shocking management
in the morning i sat down in the lobby. while sitting down my chair moved back and toppled over a lamp, which was on a table which was too close to the chair. the lamp was a cheap standard product. the receptionist asked me to wait as she had to speak to management. the hotel director then told me i had to pay the lamp! rather then apologising for my inconvenience as it was clearly their fault how the put the table. i was shocked and strongly recommend Holiday Inn to train their hotel directors better
No customer service. Not recommended!
I take my son for a treatment in Berlin every 6 months since 2018. We used to stay in the Holiday Inn close to the treatment Clinic. The breakfast was always very good. In the first time the room was dirty and old but by that time the Manager was a gentle man and staff was nice. Then they renovated but the room still not cleaned and the service is the worst I have ever seen. The General Manager wanted to charge us for a sofa not damaged. We refused to pay for something not damaged as you can see in the picture and she yelled with hands in my mom’s face asking her to shut up as she started to explain that it was not damaged. I read in other reviews with similar stories of mistreatment by the General Manager called Ms. Kirst. I do not recommend and you better look for some place else of another Hotel Group if you don’t want to be stressed out. Waist of time, waist of money!
Racism or what?
They wanted to charge me 1000 for a sofa saying it got wet and they had to send to a cleaner. I showed them that the sofa was in perfect shape and I have the picture as proof and I could not pay for something that I did not do. There was no sense at alll. They didn´t even had showed me the cleanner bill. The General Manager yelled at my mom and with hands on her face asked my mom to shut her mouth up. Sooo bizarre. I am used to travel all around the World and I have had never seen such a horrible scene of a manager mistreating the Hotel´s guest. As you can see, there are other same complains from other traveler´s. Stay in another Hotel if you don´t want to take the risk of a stressful stay.
Sucks
I smoked two cigarettes and the hotel asked me for a 200 euro cleaning fee. But there was no cleaning in my room They said if I didn't pay 200 euros right away, they'd kick me out of the hotel There was absolutely no smell in the room There's no fridge in the room There's a heavy smell in the bathroom. I'm not giving the hotel another chance I wouldn't recommend it
QUALITY HOTEL
This large hotel is part of the Holiday Inn chain which is a quality chain. The rooms are a good standard with free WiFi, TV, Tea and Coffee making facilities. Breakfast is on the first floor and again very good with hot and cold choices. Also on the first floor is a good gym but no pool. Service as expected is of a very high standard.
