I stayed here overnight with my dog on the way to Scotland. The room was exceptionally clean with loads of room and a very large comfy bed. I had dinner and breakfast both of which were excellent. All the team members I met were friendly and welcoming. I have no hesitation in recommending the White Swan Inn.

Stayed last night for a birthday treat for my mother after visiting Holy Island (which was mainly closed..) Our super cute room had two of the comfiest beds in the world! Bathroom was fab and gleaming. We enjoyed our tea (scampi and chips), faultless. Breakfast this morning was amazing!! Thank you all so much. We will be back and she will try again to sit at every available table….x

Clean dog friendly pub.

Just stayed with 7 friends at this lovely pub. Self contained accommodation next door to The White Swan which is only a few miles from the Holy Island A1 turnoff. Lovely little pub with comfortable clean rooms, tea, coffee, towels all provided. Evening bar meal was nice, standard prices. Breakfast included was cooked fresh and lots of other choices available. A great value for money base in the borders, room standard exceeded what we expected to get for rate paid and we are already booked to return later on in the year. Thanks again to the staff for making us all welcome, see you in a few months.

Lovely, quaint and friendly place, would recommend to anyone. The room was clean and spacious and comfortable. The Bed was super comfy, my hubby won't stop talking about it. We ate in the bar the first night, great choice and great food. With friendly staff. Breakfast was perfect! We'll cooked and tasty. Thank you so much for a great stay!

The room we were given was fine, but average. Could do with some new pillows but was clean. The bar is quite small with good selection of drinks, but what let it down was the standard of food served for dinner. It was bland, piled high on a small plate, and was basically poor quality. When we told The bar staff they just shrugged it off and walked away. The breakfast on the other hand was good and plenty of choice. We have worked in catering and hospitality most of our careers and don't feel we would stay again which is a shame.
