More about the hotel
Samuel is the best!!!
My fiancé and I travel for work so we live out of hotels. Samuel was super welcoming and gave us a room on the first floor since we have a pet. We noticed our headboard was broken and he had it fixed right away. So far anything we have needed they have provided! Friendly staff and comfiest bed we have had. We will be staying for as long as possible!
$50 pet fee
I am a snowbird and, therefore, cross the country twice a year. Their website said $10 pet fee. But when I attempted to book a room, I was told it was $50! Beware that what is advertised isn't correct! It's too bad as i am trying to establish a set route coming and going.
Last hotel in town
Passing through OKC and hotels were completely booked due to storm the week before. We were relieved to find this HIE with available rooms until we arrived. I would like to start by saying that the staff at the front desk were friendly, professional and helpful. Admittedly, I can be picky but there is nothing else positive I can say. My original room had dirty carpet. The bathroom floor was dirty and very sticky and the bathroom vanity light was out as well as 2 lamp lights. I was moved to another room which also had lamps that did not work, huge black stains on part of the carpet and urine odor (I assume from pets staying there). A friend traveling with me reported that her room had red stains over the entire carpet. She did not have any soap and the a/c did not work at all. She did complain the following morning and had $30 taken off her bill. I do not usually write reviews but in this case I feel I need to warn other travelers who might consider staying at this HIE. Unfortunately, this hotel is very poorly maintained and I would drive hours to avoid staying there again.
Meh
Had a power outage in OKC that's lasted 2 weeks and finally decided to get a hotel. Booked it online for a King suite and was coming in with my girlfriend. I arrived first and checked in, having to wait in the lobby for 45min while the room was being cleaned. It was after 3pm but I was fine waiting. Clerk asked what room I booked I told him King suite. My g/f arrived, (I'm a girl too) and when he saw her he said he 'had a better room for us' and it was 2 queen beds. I asked, why would I want 2 queens? He said because I was traveling with a friend and it was more room. I told him that was my g/f, and I booked a King suite. Gay people exist. If I book a King suite, and I confirm to your face I booked a King suite BEFORE you saw my 'friend', why would you try and change that? Whatever. Anyways, my room was clean but was only given 1 towel and no conditioner left in bottle. I noticed several people complaining to the clerk about hairdryers and spots on comforters just going in and out the hotel. I don't normally write reviews but the last thing that got to me is the spotty wifi. I have a new laptop and this connection cuts in and out. I was ordering something online and it went out as I was ordering and somehow ended up ordering double what I was trying to buy. Just spent an hour on the phone with customer service to get the company to refund me. Trying to work has been a pain too as web sites don't want to load or I get a broken connection notice.
Wonderful sleep over!
They had our reservation ready when we checked in. Very friendly staff. Excellent comfy bed and loved the pillow selection. Manager and front desk staff were very friendly and positive when we checked out. Nice rewards club snacks. I appreciated their extra efforts during covid19, and they did a great job with their breakfast choices. It felt and looked clean throughout. I highly recommend this place.
