After 10 years of Sixty, this is my last time
If Sixty in BH have not filed for Chapter 11 yet, they are certainly close to. I ve seen the service here degrading so much these past years, but it has clearly hit rock bottom during CoVid, as even basics of Hospitality 1.0 are not there anymore: no breakfast, no pool, no gym, no in-room dining, no more room charge at the restaurant at night (what the point vs Covid???), no cleaning service, staff completely lost... It’s not a cheap AirBnB with an expensive valet... Ane they are telling you it’s California regulations, which is not true, as I’m staying now in a much better place with everything ok, not too far from them. After 10 years of staying there, this was my last time for sure!

Love the cute trendy rooms with fully stocked minibar and nespresso machines in the morning for coffee. very nice! lots of young people - it feels like you’re in the heart of the area, Beverly Hills, and the location is great for stepping outside to nearby coffee shops and restaurants or even for a walk. The down side is that it’s a little noisy - but i did LOVE that the room has a balcony. great bathroom and lighting is very moody. No full room service during this time, but friendly staff and hand sanitizers everywhere with covid measures in place (no mask, no service)
Dirty Dirty Dirty
This hotel has an amazing location but in a time when everyone is talking about how clean they are this hotel is not. First the good the gentleman who checked me in was amazing. I worked all day and then traveled to LA and was starving. I called the hotel and ask about F&B options. He informed me that the roof top was open but only until 10 and suggested that I make a reservation for they were operating only at 50%. When I check in and gave my name he said oh ya we talked earlier. The roof top was nice and food was good and the staff was doing the best they could given what is going on today. Now my room WOW just gross. First there was no sheet on the bed other than the one covering the mattress. I called and said my bed does not have a sheet between me and the duvet. I was told thats how they do it really thats gross. There was tooth paste stains on the hair dryer bag, not sure what kind of stains were on the night stand and both lamb shades were so dirty I could actually pull the dust off and had significant stains. I will post the pictures after I down load them from my phone. Oh and if you wanted more then two cups of your in-room coffee they charged you. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE there was lot more just dont want it to take up any more time. I will say I have never written a negative review I just move on but this place was so bad I felt I had to.
Paying for location
The rooms here are nice and the rooftop bar is a really nice touch. Friendly staff and good food too. Parking at the hotel is expensive but because of its location you will struggle to find other parking. Location wise this hotel is awesome so you will find yourself walking a lot of places but the room itself is definitely more expensive because of this luxury..
The Truth
I like to read the bad reviews about a hotel to compare my experiences to any of the tidbits within the bad reviews. The truth is, this hotel has a kind & helpful staff, the room itself and view from room 806 is amazing, they scent the hotel like a Abercrombie & Fitch, the rooftop bar has a great deal on a pizza & wine, the tv has cromecast for my Netflix and the location is perfect. Negatives are here but I don’t hit the stars for them: they didn’t do our room service, our reservation on the rooftop was messed up and they don’t charge to the room for the bill there, the minibar in the room is ridiculously pricey- like seriously bad. I travel the world, this hotel is fine. Book it without hesitation.
