Fantastic stay!

Two words: outstanding hotel! Service means everything to me and as a first time guest to the area, the Front Desk hit it out of the park. My business associate and I had a site visit in the area and we usually stay at the Hilton brand of hotels. This time we decided to choose Marriott and this hotel did not disappoint. Tiffani at the desk was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable and hospitable - we felt as if we were VIPs - (pssst…we are no one special!) Our rooms were large, modern, clean, convenient and definitely exceeded expectations. When in the Birmingham area, this is an ideal choice for your hotel stay!

Another great stay at a great hotel

I’ve stayed at this hotel quite a bit in the past and always had an enjoyable stay. My most recent stay was no different. I was welcomed as a Titanium Elite member and received fantastic service from both associates at the front desk. The room was nice, clean, modern, and well-appointed. I wish the indoor pool was a bit warmer (as does my daughter) but that’s the only drawback to our stay. The location is great and the restaurant and M Club Lounge are both nice.

Unorganized and unable to get answers concerning false credit card charges.

I stayed in July 2021 for a wedding. When checking in for the wedding, they gave me the key to the groom's father's room having me walk in on them unexpectedly. Then they charged me for the room which was covered under the wedding, refunded me a month later, charged me a second time two months later, and have refused to return my calls and emails for over a month trying to inquire about the charges. Completely unorganized from the start and still have $500 of false charges on my credit card.

Checked in for a reservation and room was not ready. They had no estimation of when the room would be available. We did not get our room until 11:00pm that night. The only compensation that was offered was a free breakfast. I felt a pro rated fee would be suffucant for the time I was unable to use my room. Made numerous phone calls to speak with the manager and was never contacted back. Finally filed a claim and still no word back from hotel. The last attempt with the hotel I was offered some points which amounted to nothing . I have been a Marriott customer for over 30 years and have never encountered service like this. I understand that there might be situations that arise that they have no control over but treating customers like this is not acceptable.

Bad Experience all Around

Worse Marriott I have ever experienced. Upon arrival they said their chiller was having problems and we needed to stay on the bottom floor. I got the room right next to the exit door - wake ups at 4 AM due to people leaving - no thanks. Went out for breakfast at 7:30a, no one was in the restaurant waited 15 mins till I went over to the front desk to see if it was open. They had to call the staff before we could get seated and have food. I will be staying elsewhere in the future.
