Really nice stay for a really nice price

Great front desk staff. We even had to check in late since we'd come directly from the Barons baseball game. No problems though. Good breakfast included with stay. Room was comfortable and clean. We encountered no issues.
Professional management, long term caring staff looking out for customer needs.

This is a hotel that works well for people who are traveling for work. All transactions were smooth, the hotel was very clean, the breakfast was about average amongst the Comfort Inns we used during our business trip through Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. Would be stay again? Yes. As we worked our way to and fro across these three states we stayed at this hotel three times. This was the only hotel that we used multiple times because of the confidence held in quality and value for money. It offered exactly what you would expect from a 2/3 star establishment in it's fabric but the service was more 4/5 star.

We have stayed here before and things have been just fine. However, after a drive from Fayetteville, Arkansas, I was tired and wanted to just sleep. I got ready for bed, did all my stuff and flushed. The toilet became close overflowing and knowing how many times I get up at night, I called the front desk. When I told her the problem, I got silence for a moment , and then she asked if I wanted it fixed. What? Yes, of course. So I had to get redressed and wait. A gentleman came to the door and tried to hand me a plunger. He told me here. You fix it. I said no, you are to fix it. He said no, again and I lost my temper. I told him he could either fix the toilet or move me to another room. (There was an unoccupied adjoining room). He came in and plunged a couple of times and it was fine all night. Not sure why.he expected me to fix the toilet. O am usually sorry when I lose my temper, but not this time. We usually stay here on our way back to Georgia from Arkansas but I am going to suggest to my friend, who is a platinum member, that we stay elsewhere.
Nice hotel, not so great area

First off, I would definitely stay here again because above everything else, the hotel was quiet, clean, and comfortable and the price was very reasonable. I have no complaints about the room or the facility, other than maybe the typical "low pressure shower" complaint that seems to be a given for every hotel these days. The only reservation I'd have about booking the place is that it is in a rather depressed part of town -- shuttered businesses and hotels abound, making it appear more sketchy than it really is. We were there for two nights and experienced zero issues regarding the area, so I don't really think it's a big deal, but when you roll into the neighborhood, it'll be the first thing you notice. We never felt unsafe.

Front desk was friendly. Hotel was clean. Bed were comfortable. AC worked well. Breakfast left quite a bit to be desired. Had your standard waffles and bagels, premade egg patties and sausage links. Coffee was actually good though. Will certainly stay again if we come through Birmingham.
