Armed security guards says it all

When a hotel needs needs armed security ( especially during the day) it says plenty about the neighborhood. Food is sparse in the area, not that you would want to walk anywhere to eat unless you are really fast. Restaurant opens at 4 so eat before you get here. I would not choose to stay here again.
Soggy socks, broken window, leaking bathroom. Need I say more?

Air conditioner leaks and the carpet was soaked. Windows on the entire side of the building are cracked through the middles. Faucet leaks continuously on counter and leaks onto the shelf below every time you use it. Two co-workers had to switch rooms due to no hot water. Flyer in room offers room service until 11 pm. Phone in restaurant is broken so went down in pjs to order a pizza. Bar stops ordering food at 10 pm, not 11 pm as stated on flyer. Would've been happier sleeping in my car.
An overnight stay before an early flight

My husband and I stayed at the hotel the night prior to our flight. We arrived late and we went straight to bed. The room was well accommodated and the staff was friendly and helpful. We mainly chose this hotel for the location and the shuttle and parking it offered. We left our car parked for $6.00 a day and used the shuttle to and from the airport. The shuttle runs 4am-mid nite. I will stay again if I fly out if Birmingham Airport. The only negative I had with the hotel was if you are a light sleeper there is a train that passes often and you will hear it so bring earplugs.

Stayed here one night very good. Staff very good at check in. Some wear and tear but good. Have a bar and full restraunt with good prices which is good although the place is nice, the neighborhood is not. Stay inside. Would stay here again, has airport shuttle, for a price can leave car at hotel. Breakfast is not included, add 7.50.
Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere

We stayed for one night on our way to Florida. We expected much more. The first thing we noticed was this hotel is in a very sketchy area and there are no restaurants close. The elevators were broken ( but fixed while we were there). The hotel is next to a highway and you can hear traffic. Our beds were comfortable but one bed had a mattress that was in need of repair and leaning bad. We asked for more towels and were told they were out! Someone came in our room while we were at dinner on property and took the luggage cart that we were not finished with nor did we authorize anyone to go into our room. The worst part was the smell of marajuana in the hallways. It was overpowering. There was broken glass in the hallway. The staff was very pleasant but we had to ask for our breakfast Buffett vouchers. The breakfast bar is $10 a person without it and it was not very good. We ate dinner at the restaurant and it was very good! It just seems like this place needs more attention. I have stayed in much better Holiday Inns and this one was the worst by far. I would not recommend this hotel and I have already canceled staying here on our return trip home.
