Staff gets 5 stars facility gets 2 stars. No power outlets near the bed on one side of the bed. TV is of poor quality and small The TV is further away from the bed than the bathroom. Iron is broken Bed feels like a cheap imitation of a mattress. Pillows belong on a couch as throw pillows. There was a drunk in the lobby trying to pickup my wife. All of this for nearly $200 per night. This can’t be real ? I only stay in Marriott hotels but this one needs to be closed for remodeling.

One reason we chose to stay at this hotel was they said it was recently renovated It was but the renovation did not include a decent bedcover. As a Marriott Titanium Elite members, we stay in a lot of Marriotts. Spring Hill Suites is usually our favorite one. The white comforter was thin, worn and yellowish white. Not like the ones we see at other Marriotts. Also making our stay less pleasant was the fact there was not internet for the streaming channels on the smart TVs. Again other Marriotts have not had this problem. Friendly Front desk clerk really wanted to help though there was nothing she could do about comforter since I guess they were all like that. She was new and didn’t seem to know about Netflix, YouTube streaming channels were on the smart TVs. She called tech support and they said they could not fix till morning. We left at 1:00 pm and it was still not fixed. I gave this hotel an average rating because that was what it was average. Maybe the manager will see this and up date bedding.
Very poor management

The manager, Diane B, cancelled our prepaid room on the day we were to show up without even notifying us. She then lied repeatedly about the circumstances. She said they didn't have our phone number but did, that our reservation was last minute but it was over a week in advance, that it wasn't transmitted to them by the third-part agent but somehow was still in their system and had a confirmation from Marriott. She talked over top of me and denied having someone to whom she reports, like even the CEO of Marriott doesn't report to a board. One extra star given for Andre who scratched up a room with double beds last second which, if our King room was cancelled for lack of inventory, shouldn't have been available. She still didn't make allowances or even care that we got less than what we paid for.
Traveling teams forced us to stay and it wasn’t great

Youth sports are monopolized by Traveling Teams who require you to pay to play. This hotel is in no way a four star hotel as reviews indicate. In pandemic times this is the worst hotel we have stayed in this entire year. Dirty, old, halls smell like cat pee. Beds are doubles and not comfortable! This hotel does not reflect the Springhill suite brands standard. Do not recommend to anyone. The only saving grace was the kind gentleman who checked us in.
Rude staff, interstate noise

The hotel front desk staff was rude—checking in and checking out. The housekeeping staff was even more rude. Housekeeping stopped me in the hallway at 10am to ask when I was going to check out. I told her we had a late check out so around 1-2pm. At noon, she knocked on the door even though we had the do not disturb hanger on the door knob, AND she had already asked me about check out. She then asked if we would be making another reservation for an additional night. Didn’t appreciate all the questioning and intrusion. I had a child who didn’t feel well that morning so the constant questioning was inappropriate and extremely bothersome. The rooms are also right next to I-65 and we heard interstate traffics all night. Phone sitting on nightstand didn’t work—not even a cord to plug it in. The “complimentary breakfast” was terrible—a plastic baggie with an apple and granola bar. No milk, coffee, juice, etc. For a hotel that includes free hot breakfast, this was not a comparable replacement during the covid situation. Will not stay here again.
