Wallace Hotel

We arrived here after being let down by another Blackpool hotel. Chris was just amazing, so helpful, and couldn't do enough for us - even picked me up from the secure 24hr car park so I didnt have to walk back to the hotel and bless him, was there the following morning to drop me off to collect my car. We had a fantastic view from the sea front room - was great watching the illuminations being turned on at dusk. Definitely recommend.

Me and my three kids stayed for 2 nights, very large room, brilliant sea views, great chilling at night having a few beers watching the sights of Blackpool, lovely hosts, very accommodating and comfy beds, we all enjoyed our time in Blackpool, would definitely book here again, I would recommend this hotel and especially room 9 to any family, thank you

Avoid at all cost ! The room is not as described or as picture shown Smelly throughout Room cold, black mould on windows in bathroom and bedroom hole in bathroom window . No where to hang your clothes/ coats other than directly above a kettle which when boiled soaks your items with steam . No privacy in bathroom 10” gap between top of bathroom wall and ceiling hence all steam in a col room comes out of gap into room making it damp. Door does not close properly . Radiators didn’t work there was an electric heater unsuitable for room pictures taken .

Ok, I’m not here to be mean or rude. We paid for family room. 1 adult 2 kids for two nights stay. It was cheap and didn’t expect much. So kids had bunk beds, mattress that you could feel the springs through, the side of the beds were broke and had gaffer tape fixed to it and every movement made a noise. My double was fine tbh. Small, well tiny en suite attached, all in working order, botched fittings generally and grimy. Windows didn’t close or block any noise out. The was generally grubby, stained/worn. I don’t understand why or how people let things go like this. Some of our towels smelt smoke and were very poor quality. But our bedding was fine. It’s just an old damp grubby place. Needs some (well loads) care and attention all over. From the moment you walk in you can smell the staleness. But it was cheap.

This is a return visit for us. It’s a perfect location, central to the pleasure beach and the tower, the shops and the beach is straight across the road! With easy access to all local amenities bars shops and transport. The rooms are simple, but comfortable, warm and always clean. Chris is the friendliest owner we have ever met, such a happy person and always goes above and beyond to make our visit perfect. We will be returning again next year, and look forward to seeing Chris and his family again then!
